Homemade Cobblers and Pies got started:

Gus loves to bake. He started baking cobblers from his mother's special recipe for our holiday get togethers. Everyone loved them. So he branched out to baking cobblers for special occasions at work like pot lucks, birthdays and holidays. Again, everyone loved them. Individual people started to place special orders for their own get togethers. And so on and

so on. It seemed like we were baking cobblers all the time. Everyone kept telling us we needed to just quit our jobs and start selling cobblers all the time. Well that's easier said than done. Yes, we have lots of bills. I love cobblers but I love pies more. I think pies are pretty. There's nothing like eating something that tastes good but also looks too good to eat. So we started making cobblers and pies in a jar. We like the ideal of each person getting to have their own individual serving and not really having to share unless they choose to do so. Besides it's "Just a bit of...". We also like the ideal of throwing the jar in the microwave to heat up and putting ice cream on top. We started selling the cobblers and pies at First Monday in Canton (come see us) a couple of months ago and people at Gus' job have been buying them. So we will keep on baking for as long as God allows us to do so and as long as the oven still works.
