Thanks to all of our wonderful guests that have stayed at Playtime over the past 14 years!! Today Playtime officially becomes a private residence. We thank you for many memories and especially those guests that are now called friends. Bittersweet to close this chapter of our lives but looking forward to writing a new one. Janene & Greg

Effective 3/11/2021, Playtime was purchased by a new owner. They will continue to honor reservations checking in prior to 9/1. After that, the new owner will no longer be renting Playtime and will enjoy it with their family. We hope that everyone who has stayed at Playtime over the last 14 years has fond memories of their family vacations for years to come. Thank you for your support and we hope you will find a new favorite beach house for your future vacations. If any guests have any questions or concerns, they can contact Nola at 757-201-8007 - as she will be managing Playtime this year.

Day 2 middle level deck, demo done, reinforcements nearly done and the new boards are beginning. Boards will run opposite of how they used to be. Why? All will be full boards and no chance for stubbed toes!

Our last guests for 2020 checked-out today. That means it's time for updates! New hot tub should be installed next week, deck replacement starts Monday and we are bringing lots of updates, new stuff and gifts for our awesome repeat vacationers! We have a few 2021 weeks open so it's still not too late to plan your visit and always taking wait-list names for 2022.

Time to start planning for our 2021 updates! The master bedroom is going to get a much awaited makeover. New bedding is ordered, new furniture, lamps and decor to come. I for one and ready to bring a fun theme and some color to this bedroom!

Almost ready for our first 2020 vacationers. New pool level decking is done, hot tub moved back and up and running. Just a few finishing touches and we're ready for all our wonderful guests. Always planning ahead, 2021 will see a new hot tub at Playtime. We are hoping to put in a 10 person hot tub (as long as it's still available this fall!). Still have some great 2020 weeks available and taking holds for 2021.

Everyone knows about our wild horses in the OBX but did you know Cedar Island is home to wild "sea cows"? The herd of wild cows was devastated by flooding during Dorian but this is great news for the future of them! https://www.wbtv.com/2020/02/05/cow-that-swam-miles-outer-banks-hurricane-was-pregnant-she-just-gave-birth/

A storm-tossed cow credited with swimming 5 miles across the Core Sound to the Outer Banks during Hurricane Dorian was pregnant during the ordeal, and it just gave birth.

It's a beautiful thing..new marine grade decking has arrived! Can't wait to have the decking on the pool level replaced, hopefully all of the decking in the back if our contractor has the time. Should get a good 10 years out of the new material!

My favorite time of the year is when we get to make changes and upgrades. New Roku tvs! All 11 tvs will be Roku tvs this year, We'd hate for our guests to miss out on any of their favorite shows while enjoying paradise for a week.
