Our Story
My name is Jeanine Neskey. I have over ten years experience as a professional dog trainer, groomer, and vet tech in Vermont and I am excited, after a few years break, to be starting up my business again in Colorado. Rocky Mountain Mutts is an in-home training service for everything from basic obedience to serious behavioral challenges. I specialize in real life training for adventurous dogs and their people. Many people living along the front range of Colorado are outdoorsy types and the adventures at our doorstep are unlimited! This life-style requires our dogs to know some very specific skills and behaviors in order for them to be fun and safe back country companions. I will join you and your dog in real life situations to address real training challenges. For example, you want to bring your dog to the climbing crag but he keeps laying on the rope and bothering other climbers...So lets go to a local crag and work with you to teach your dog these specific training goals. My willingness to travel to you and join you in real life situations, particularly those which may require physical excursion (I will bike, trail run, hike, paddle board, ski, what every you and your dog want to do together) is what sets me apart from other trainers. Although most any trainer can give you the tools to train your dog these skills few, if any, are willing to get out there with you and your dog and work on it together!
