Facilities-On-site Portalet. Current Dig Days are Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday.
8:00am to 2:30pm, $220 per adult (tax Inc). Each adult is provided a water hose to wash the fossils out of the material. Children 17 and under are free with paid parent/guardian. They will share the hose & space provided for the adult(s). Dress them to get muddy and have fun! Bringing change of clothes are strongly suggested. To show our appreciation for your service we offer a $20.00 discount off all non-discounted (Specials) hunts for active or former Military. Please inform us when booking. Appropriate credentials are required to receive discount. Thank you all for your service!

What we suggest to bring for your Adventure:
~Sunscreen/bug spray ~bottled water ~lunch/snacks ~change of clothes ~towels ~raincoats ~hat ~neoprene booties or regular socks ~chairs ~umbrella/shade canopy ~containers/bags for your treasures ~cash payment. We do have sifters and shovels available to use, but you can bring your own if you prefer! We’re serious about fossils but we want everyone to have fun too! Attitude is everything! •You WILL get dirty. You’re adding water to matrix material and that leads to muddy conditions. *Please note we are unable to guarantee that you’ll find a megalodon tooth. Provided material is NOT seeded. We dig straight from the fossil layer, and we can’t control what may or may not be present. Fossils including shark teeth will be found. Some shark teeth may be small, but the colors are great! We reserve the right to refuse service We look forward to digging for you and your family!

Great to have Shark Generation out to the farm again! Awesome finds!

Another great day at Bone Valley Fossil Farm! This is part of Adrian's haul that included 694 teeth (46 of them were Megs/Partial Megs), whale vertebrae, part of a whale tooth and a chunk of a Gomphothere tooth.

Bone Valley Fossil Farm was honored to have a visit from legendary world-renowned Paleontologist Frank Garcia! Frank Garcia's Paleontological Discoveries Frank is the author of the definitive book on the Bone Valley Deposit "Sunrise at Bone Valley" (just 1 of his books among many) and the subject of the PBS special by the same name. He is an accomplished Paleontologist, Author and Musician.
We had an incredible day with Frank fossil hunting, hearing his amazing stories and getting expert identification for everyone's finds! We were even treated to a performance of some of his music!
