Pirates don't walk...we crawl!!! Pub crawl on tap!! Two ladies from Dallas and 2 from Boston who met while touring in Germany and now take trips together regularly! We are just lucky enough to be on their list.

Scholars disagree over exactly when beer was first introduced — the earliest hard evidence for barley beer comes from 5,400-year-old Sumerian vessels that were still sticky with beer when archaeologists found them — but one thing has never been in question: “Women absolutely have, in all societies, throughout world history, been primarily responsible for brewing beer,” says Theresa McCulla, who curates the Smithsonian’s American Brewing History Initiative.

WARNING LONG POST BUT ALSO A BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY FOR THE RIGHT PERSON:

I am not going to lie, I have been allowing myself to lose faith and feel upset with God lately. I am such an idiot because he ALWAYS comes thru for me.

A few months ago, I was displaced by Hurricane Idalia. It took all of my savings to get in to a place in that emergent situation and I have been struggling to get back where I was. At that time, I signed a lease on a new place that I love in Homosassa with a young girl who lives in New York and had no intentions of moving to Florida anytime soon. She is a manager at Starbucks ....and at the time, we had no Starbucks here that she could transfer to. Then we got a Starbucks. She has been wanting to move back ever since she found out and has been trying to get me to leave. It has been stressful, to say the least.

So, I had been casually searching for another place nearby to appease her, but I have also been seriously sick off and on throughout the process. Rental prices have skyrocketed and I am not in a position to purchase so it had gotten to the point that I was worried I would be homeless, although I was not in a hurry. The past week, a negative turn of events prompted a pretty immediate occupancy need. Tears were shed and I have had knots all in my neck.

Yesterday, I had to take time off from work and furiously look for a place. Times like these are when having hundreds of connections pays off. A Wonderful woman, who has been friends with my mom since they were in school, showed me a place she had been using as an AirBnB. Downside is that is is furnished but upside is that it is waterfront on a beautiful piece of property.

I am able to get in immediately so I am spending my weekend packing and getting things moved...... to INVERNESS. I am in love with Homosassa and really have become a part of the community and hate to be leaving, but this is what works best for me right. Inverness is my hometown, my daughter lives there, my grand and family lives there and I have missed my friends over there. It will be good it will be a fun summer on the lake with all of them.

Another hard decision is that I have decided to sell my golf cart. I have had some interested parties that wanted to run that location, which may end up happening but, ideally I would like to sell the cart, retain my business / business name and if someone wants to continue to operate under my business name, I would negotiate the terms of such which basically includes merch sales in the future. I have over $20,000 in the cart alone but am posting it for sale at $13,500, which is negotiable. If you are interested, please reach out to me.
