The Maui fire created a difficult situation for residents and visitors. On one hand, local residents need time, space, and support to recover and rebuild from the devastation. On the other hand, Maui needs the income and revenue generated from visitors to continue to offer the local support including meals and provisions for displaced locals. These items need to be funded, not to mention employment from tourism based industries that affect the entire island. With this in mind, Maui Paradise Hale Kamaole is donating our space to locally displaced residents for temporary stay. A turn of unfortunate events with the drought and hurricane Dora’s high winds decimated much of Lahaina. Our hearts and prayers to everyone impacted as this is a traumatic experience. For those still waiting to get out of Maui Southwest has offer for inter-island flights for $19. Other positive news is Kihei is cleared for resident and visitors to return. Stay safe and healthy.
