We love this time of year at the chalet. Beautiful natural light pours through the skylight and into the living room and kitchen. The front porch and sunroom are flooded with sunshine. ☀️

New growth sprouts along the numerous local hiking and biking trails. Wildlife of all kinds forage around the lake as the natural world awakens. In the clubhouse, family friendly amenities are in practice for the ramp up to the summer season. 🛶

The crisp morning air is perfect for a brisk walk followed by a hot coffee and local treat. The evenings are warm enough for an al fresco glass of wine as the fire-pit crackles, yet cool enough to cosy up by the fireplace in living room under a blanket with a book. Or both! 🔥

Just magical! Sparkling and snowy in the Poconos last weekend. The photos don’t capture how extraordinary the countryside looked, with snow on every individual tree limb. The deer all came to say hello too. It’s such a perfect romantic, and peaceful getaway at this time of the year.

One year ago today we drove up to gorgeous Lake Ariel, our car jam-packed with supplies, our ladder occupied the middle seat from front to back, neither of us could move our elbows 🤣. We were so excited and nervous to take occupation of our sweet little home. Months of planning and vision boards preceded our drive.
Well as they say, the best laid plans of mice and men… we were unable to move in and begin renovations on January 1st, so we drove all the way back to Philly, got a few hours of sleep and turned right back around on Jan 2nd- we officially began the transformation of at 8pm on January 2nd 2021.
We were so determined inspired,happy and scrappy and we couldn’t wait to make everyone else see how gorgeous the cottage really was. Thank you to all our guests, friends and followers for making our dreams come true.
