Travel Tuesday - Travel isn't always about getting on a plane to some exotic or foreign destination. Travel is about adventure, new experiences, and seeing the world from a different and often relaxed point of view. Travel is about meeting locals and enjoying their community. And since most of us do not travel 365 days a year, I think it’s important to find adventures in your local area. Even a hundred-mile radius is going to expand your horizons.

Take time to explore and enjoy where you live. So many options to be outdoors (or indoors) and either way, you will find something new to amaze and delight you.

Travel Tuesday - The world-famous Caribbean All-Inclusive Vacation ✈ is one of the best ways to revitalize. The all-inclusive vacation lets you be as relaxed or as adventurous as you like. With all food, 🍮 drinks 🥂 and entertainment included all you must do is decide where, when, and how long. 😎

Deciding “where” ⛱ might be the hardest part when you can choose from so many Caribbean destinations. From Costa Rica to Turks & Caicos, to Antigua & Aruba to Jamaica and the Dominican Republic to St Lucia and St Martin to Mexico and Curacao, to Granada and Bahamas. Deciding “how long” 💥💥 depends on that open window. Most recommend 6 to 7 nights when possible and 4 to 5 for a quick revitalization.

The all-inclusive getaways are also a great way to travel with friends and family. Travel Tuesday - It's all about Alaska! ❤❤ Our favorite family trip was our cruise to Alaska 🚤✈️ a few years ago - and we are all ready to go back! From the amazing clam chowder in Ketchikan to the sky tram in Juneau to the sights of Skagway, every port was an adventure. But the really amazing part was the view from the ship! The Glaciers, the Alaska seascape, the beautiful waters, with whales 🐋 and sea lions, and so many soaring eagles. We were in awe from the moment we stepped on board until our last breakfast on disembarkation day!

MTC is hosting an Alaska cruise round trip from Seattle on board the Discovery Princess. 🚤 We would love to have you join us - or choose a date and time that is more convenient. Travel Tuesday – Niagara Falls! Jim Dier and I have checked off Niagara Falls from our bucket list! 🌊 Not once, but Two Times! We visited the US side first and took the Maiden of the Mist Boat tour, the second time we took in the view from the Canadian side and a behind the falls tour. Words can't quite capture the awe-inspiring beauty and power of this natural wonder. From the misty up-close views to the panoramic vistas, we enjoyed every minute. The sound and the spray of mist is all so exciting. 🚢 Feeling grateful for the chance to witness such breathtaking beauty firsthand! 🚣‍♂️ You don't want to miss out on this adventure of a lifetime and maybe check it off of your bucket list! 🌟📸

Travel Tuesday – on MY LIST!! 🌴🌊 One of my dream vacations is an Escape to a True Exotic Paradise with an over-the-water bungalow experience in Bora Bora! 🏝️✨ Located in the heart of the South Pacific, Bora Bora is known for its crystal-clear waters, beautiful beaches, and overwater bungalows surrounded by panoramic views of turquoise lagoons and lush tropical landscapes🦜. I imagine sitting on our deck above the water with Jim Dier, an exotic cocktail🍸 in hand waiting for the gorgeous sunsets🌅 that wrap up our days perfectly. Travel Tuesday! 🚢⚓ One of our favorite travel adventures was a beautiful river cruise along the Rhine and Moselle. From Amsterdam to Cologne, to Koblenz, to Cochem and ending in Remich with a day trip to Luxembourg.
Drifting along the waters of the Rhine with ancient castles "floating by" and every bend revealing something new. From quaint villages to majestic castles, to miles of vineyards and beautiful mountains. The views were breathtaking.
🏰 We loved exploring the Cologne, with its stunning cathedral that took hundreds of years to build. Luxembourg was delightful with beautiful shops, cafes and handmade chocolates.
🌟 It's moments like these that remind me why I'm passionate about travel – the thrill of discovery, the beauty of new horizons, and the joy of sharing experiences.

Every holiday season Jim Dier and I start a new puzzle to fill our long winter evenings The puzzles are especially fun when they are a collection from our travels. This year our puzzle is the skyline and roof tops of Santorini - and with a 1000 pieces to connect, we have plenty of time to reminisce about our extraordinary time in Greece! Throw in a glass of wine and you have the perfect combination to puzzling during the holidays!

Our grandson Tucker just called to let me know he traded in his "child" passport for the Adult Version! This means 10 years of exciting travel adventures! I am so excited I am his travel agent and will get to plan some awesome travel for this amazing man that Jim Dier and I call GrandSon! Graduation, Mexico, Greece and Alaska are all checked off his list- now the World is wide open for all his next adventures!

A New York City Christmas! Jim Dier and I just returned from our first Christmas in New York with our daughter / artist Jenn Dierdorf. I love New York and all it's surprises - and this was no exception. Jenn surprised us with a visit to the Neue Galerie in Manhattan. First, for breakfast at the Cafe Sabarsky and then the opportunity to view the original Woman In Gold painting by Gustav Klimt. The cafe is exactly like the Austrian cafe's we visited in Vienna and Salzburg a few years ago filled with great food and memories. The Lady in Gold Painting is breathtaking! And I'm so lucky I got to see it in person! Jenn took my photo next to a replica of the painting - since you can't photograph the original - and YES - I had the famous Sacher Cake for breakfast!!!

Living in Northern Indiana in close proximity to Lake Michigan was the perfect recipe for Jim Dier and I to fall in love with Lake Perch Dinners. So our recent trip to Canada and our travel along Lake Erie sparked our appetites. We discovered The Plaice in Fort Erie which serves up Perch on Fridays and we were lucky enough to land there at noon on Friday for their fresh catch of the day. and YES - it was Delish! I love these road trips because we always discover something new and interesting places where the locals like to eat. That's the best!
