Three Facts about Marie Laveau, The Voodoo Queen of New Orleans🌙

1.Though the details of her birth are unclear, Marie Laveau was thought to have died between the ages of 79 and 82 years old in 1881.

2. In 2014, the Laveau mausoleum was restored. Visitors previously wrote x’s on the tomb in hopes that their wishes would be fulfilled, which, sadly, damaged the tomb. Today, it is illegal and considered vandalism of an historic site.

3. Before the tomb's restoration there were vast amounts of flowers, to***co, and hair ties left as offerings for the Voodoo Queen.
