In case you’re curious about why salons are so pricey, here’s a glimpse of a full platinum retouch process. It takes approximately 3.5 hours and requires two bowls of lightener to achieve this stunning blonde. Each retouch involves applying numerous foils to ensure flawless results. After three weeks of non-stop back-to-school haircuts, I just wrapped up the last one today! It’s been a whirlwind of getting all my clients’ kids ready—whether they’re heading to high school, middle school, elementary school, or that exciting first year of real big kid school. Not to mention the teachers who needed to look their best for the new school year. I’m officially exhausted! It’s incredible to watch my regulars’ not-so-tiny humans grow up so fast. I’ve been doing hair for 13 years now, and some of the kids I started with as kindergarteners are heading off to college. Even crazier, some of those same clients who began with back-to-school haircuts are now bringing in their babies for me to style. Now that all my clients’ kids are ready, it’s time to prep my own little ones for Monday’s back-to-school hair! I’m so grateful to all my clients for trusting me to be a part of their kids’ school prep. Back to School is fast approaching! We not only want to encourage you to get your appointments soon before we book out but we also want to remind parents of something that can be a problem and that you need to be aware of. Lice unfortunately in our kids and our schools is a reality! It is incredibly important that you check your children as they spread so easily but it is also important that you check your kids before bringing them to the salon! We always want to keep our clients safe and take the utmost of precautions when it comes to situations like lice! We are not permitted to work on anyone who has lice, we have to immediately ask you to leave and get your kids home for treatment but it also puts our stylists and other clients at risk! Please make sure your kids are thoroughly checked before bringing them in and we look forward to seeing all the smiling faces to get them ready for back to school! Together we can check to ensure the utmost of Hair and scalp health!
