TNSDB8 spent the week before Thanksgiving debating neocolonialism, indigenous rights, and nuclear policy at back to back tournaments. Kirari Terada was 7th Speaker in Novice at the ADA Fall Championship. After debuting at ADA, partner Stella Crouch went maverick at this weekend's Jersey Shore Invitational at Monmouth where teammates Avantika Chaturvedi and Michael Kpade were Semifinalists and 2nd and 8th Speakers overall. One more event online with Big Tent in December to close out Fall!

Congrats to NS CK for a great start at the Regional Opener, going 6-0 in prelims and top seed, and advancing to SemiFinals. Michael Kpade was 8th speaker in Open despite only year 2 in debate and Avantika Chaturvedi was 2nd speaker overall. Next up: West Point!

Happy Halloween from New School Debate! Some Tricks and some Treats this weekend at the USMA Tournament. Our newest novice won his first debates, Open metaphorically won Army by beating Navy, and CK were JV quarterfinalists AND both took home speaker awards, including Top Speaker in JV for Lolo Kaase. We had some great "Adventure Time", but there is also No Place Like Home (regions) to be back to a full in person debate tournament! (Ignore the Novice Man Behind the Curtain).

Spotlight: Meet one of the new student trustees, Noor Lima Boudakian (BA Global Studies / MA Economics)🌟

Noor's thesis research is centered around the gendered impacts of omnipresent colonial structures in the economies of the South Caucasus. Her academic interests mainly lie in the impacts of capital and development on social relations. She is adamantly in support of maintaining mission towards justice and resistance to the status quo, especially through empowerment of the student body and intensive interpersonal conversations.

Noor competes nationally with , formerly chaired as well as co-lead the Peer-to-Peer Connect program.
