Our Story
T'waz the last night of the year 2011 and our founder Jake sat at his desk finishing some work whilst wishing he could be standing in Times Square watching the sparkling Waterford Crystal Times Square New Year's Eve Ball alongside the millions of revelers.
At that moment NYETS live was started. First as an idea, then a website. By the time the millions in Times Square started their countdown to the famous ball drop Jake had created a fully functional website and attached page for the many people in his position allowing them to watch the festivities from the comfortability of their homes, offices, and any other location that had an internet connection.
Every year as the clock nears midnight on December 31st, the eyes of the world turn once more to the dazzling lights and bustling energy of Times Square. Anticipation runs high. New Year's Eve at the symbolic center of New York City has become more than just a celebration - it's a global tradition. The world holds its breath... and cheers as the clocks strike twelve.
At 11:59 p.m., the Ball begins its descent as millions of voices unite to count down the final seconds of the year. The world holds its breath... and cheers as the clocks strike twelve, celebrating the beginning of a new year full of hopes, challenges, changes and dreams.
