That magical feeling you get when you walk into the Magic Kingdom is magnified by 100 when it is decorated for Christmas. You can't help but get in the holiday spirit when you see all of the festive decorations. From the massive Christmas tree, the tinsel, lights and classic ornaments the spirit is everywhere you look. The Dapper Dans are in their Christmas attire and their four part harmony makes the holiday songs so special. Magic Kingdom has held the first Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and the crowd was full of holiday spirit and loved the "snow" that fell from the sky. The parks are usually decorated until the end of December. It's not too late to plan your holiday get away. 🎄🌴

Yes, we waited 45 minutes to buy a six dollar cookie (or two) and I would do it again. We finally found out what all of the hype is about at Gideon's Bakehouse this week. The nearly half pound cookies have a very loyal following and at busy times a virtual queue is in place to save you from standing in a potential 5 hour long line. The cookies are baked fresh every day and have creative flavor combinations. We purchased the Peanut Butter Cold Brew cookie and the Pistachio Toffee Chocolate Chip cookie. I really wanted to try the Dark Coffee Cake cookie but I was 5 minutes too early. That's right, the cookie becomes available at sunset each evening, and not a minute earlier. They also offer a morning version, the Coffee Cake cookie, in limited quantities that sells out quickly each day. The custom artwork in the bakery adds to the mysterious vibe that is Gideon's. You definitely need to stop in here on your next visit to Disney Springs.

Did you know that you can get your Dole Whip fix at Disney Springs? Swirls on the Water is a small food booth located across from the Lava Lounge at Rainforest Cafe. We were able to pick up the Orange Bird Nest with orange dole whip and the Rapunzel Cone; a lavender cone filled with lemon and rapsberry swirled dole whip. Both treats were refreshing and the perfect end to a very warm Florida day.

The wonderful smell of a wood fired grill draws you to the Flavors from Fire food booth. All of the choices are incredibly flavorful and perfectly cooked. My favorite was the Chimichurri Marinated Skirt Steak Taco. And we also loved the Smoked Corn Beef on house made potato chips. The Impossible Burger Slider was moist and flavorful but it caught me with what I thought was a green pepper slice that was actually a jalapeno. This is a booth that I plan to return to before the festival is over.

What do you do when your favorite EPCOT ride is temporarily delayed? You stop in to your closest Starbucks and try out the new treat. Connections Cafe is located in the World Celebration area near the front of the park. You can get your favorite Starbucks beverage and a tasty treat. During the Food and Wine Festival the Connections Cafe has the Remy Liege Waffle. The cream cheese drizzle, graham cracker crumbs and the cute Remy decorated chocolate disc made for a wonderful accompaniment to our cold brew coffee.

It's French Fry Friday! EPCOT Food and Wine Festival has a food booth just for French Fries appropriately named The Fry Basket. We sampled some new creations and found a new favorite. Bacon and fries, you can't go wrong!

It’s starting to look like Fall at Magic Kingdom. We popped in yesterday to check out the new decor and see our favorite parade. Then we finally tried the create your own popcorn mix at Kernel Kitchen. Why have we waited so long? What a delectable treat! Love living so close to the Most Magical Place on Earth!
We popped in to EPCOT to see how the Food and Wine preparations were coming. Let's just say that our mouths are watering.

Calling all Minion fans! We were so excited to be able to experience a “technical rehearsal” for Villain Con: Minion Blast at Universal Studios Orlando. And what a blast it was! This fun, interactive attraction arms you with an E-Liminator X blaster and you stand on a moving walkway through the attraction. To see if you qualify to join the Vicious 6 you must blast your way through each of the 6 Villainous areas to cause mayhem and destruction. You can shoot freeze rays, punching gloves and of course banana bombs. (We couldn’t record this part.)
Once the attraction is completely functional it will offer the ability to connect through the Universal app where you can customize some of your ammunition. Picture a turkey leg bomb in November.
At the conclusion of the experience you are deposited into the merchandise store where they offer a large variety of blasters, including a fart gun with a predictable scent.
This attraction is fun for everyone and is a great final addition to Minion Land.
