The main property is a large luxurious villa. The guest accommodations are located downstairs and consist of a 4-room apartment with a separate/private entrance.
There are 2 bedroom areas both with comfortable trundle beds with a foam topped mattress, feather quilts and pillows.
The kitchen is stocked with a Keurig coffee maker, cappuccino maker, mini-refrigerator with freezer, blender, glassware, tea kettles/teapot, dishes, utensils and silverware. There is a small sink is in the front room for doing dishes. There is not a burner/range for for cooking with pots and pans, but the space contains an air fryer/toaster and microwave.
Travertine marble bathroom, whirlpool bath tub, luxury linens.
Guests have their own outside veranda with a bbq for outdoor dining or just relaxing.
There is also a shared space we call the sundowner veranda. Guests will find benches in the enclosed yard, areas for delighting in morning coffee, afternoon tea…or other imbibements. In the evenings guests can enjoy a wood burning outdoor fireplace with a cooking grill to keep themselves warm—it is the high country, so there is often a chill once the sun sets.
Hopefully it goes without saying that the space comes complete with wine glasses and ice bucket ready for it’s -5’oclock-somewhere merriments whether they are enjoyed inside or out!
We will provide these amenities for 7 days/nights: coffee/cream/sugar, table napkins, dish soap, toilet paper, paper towels, and shampoo/conditioner. Guest staying longer than 7 days will be responsible for such items after their first week.
The guest apartment has overhead fans in both bedrooms—just enough to cool the space and keep it pleasant in the warmer months (there is no central or forced-air cooling system).
The space is heated by a pellet stove in the cooler months.
Wi-Fi is available and guests will find a variety of books for their perusal and reading pleasure. And, for those who are a bit more old-school, there is a CD/cassette tape player with a collection of different stylistic ranges for both.
Oh, and did we mention the official sized corn hole game on the patio to hone your skills too??!
LOCATION & EXTRAS:
The property is in a rural area about 30 minutes from the city of Prescott with access to many trails for humans and horses. AND yes, there is room for your horse/s too. Your hosts are happy to discuss arrangements for boarding, just let us know when you contact us. There is ample parking for your car, camper or trailer, and should guests be coming with an electric vehicle, there are 110 plugs in the driveway and a quicker 120 charge option in the barn.
GPS proves useful in getting to these parts. Leading to the property, there is a stretch of dirt road for about 3 miles after the Nancy Road exit. Depending upon weather and the time of year of your visit, guests will quickly learn where the pot holes are—so do be mindful.
Please know that wild animals transverse the property, but are generally not a concern or danger. Although guests will generally find wildlife to be fearful of human encounters and go out of their way to avoid them, a good awareness of one's surrounding is important. Wild guests to the property include deer, javalina, mountain lion, bobcats, and friendly and not so friendly snakes, with occasional black bear, fox, raccoon and skunk sightings. In the apartment, your hosts have left additional background on some of the wildlife native to the region and tips on what should/should not done if they are encountered during your stay.
Come visit and get to know our little getaway—we look forward to welcoming you!
