It’s not every day your Guests (& friends!) asks if they can propose in your backyard 🥹🙏💕 We are honored that our dear friend Aciel and Tere shared this special moment at our forever home Ohana Oasis - Historic District Punta Gorda, FL,!! Afterwards we walked a half mile to dinner and enjoyed a beautiful sunset and incredible dinner on the deck of Captain's Table. This was truly a magical evening. Please help us celebrate and congratulate the happy couple!! 💍🙏🎉💕🥰

Today our guests are checking in all the way from Colorado! 🏡 When they told us they’d be traveling with their 3 girls, we couldn’t help but make a quick trip to the store for the Easter bunny! Thankful this family trusted us to spend this special holiday weekend with us at the Ohana Oasis!!🙏💕 🐰 🐣 🥚

“My favorite rental to date!! It was everything we needed, and so well equipped! The hosts have thought of everything! This bungalow is not only absolutely DARLING, but makes you want to just settle into life there and never leave. It was my first time there, but it really felt like home away from home. We walked to four different spots for coffee and/or lunch/ dinner and every one of them was delicious.
The location is fabulous, we could even see the sunset from a short walk away. The inside is beautiful and the outdoor space can’t be beat.
We are coming back to Punta Gorda in a few months and will definitely stay there again! Oh, and the hosts are sweet as can be!!”

The sunsets just get more beautiful with each passing day!☀️

Our favorite place to watch the sunset (other than Boca Grande Beach 🏝️) is along sitting on the sea wall overlooking Charlotte Harbor at the very end of Dolly St. Did you know that each street name along Retta Esplanade is engraved in the sidewalk along the Harborwalk at Gilchrist Park?! 🔍🤔

Today we have wonderful guests coming to stay with us all the way from Minnesota! We hope they love it here in Punta Gorda and check out The Celtic Ray Public House for their big St. Patrick’s Day extravaganza on Sunday (we will be there!!)☘️

“Our family of 2 adults and 2 young boys really enjoyed this beautiful house. The best part was the location. We could walk to the Park, Trail on the water, Fisherman’s Village and the downtown shops and restaurants! The host was super responsive and even brought over items for our boys to play with. The house was spotless and well stocked. It had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again!”

We 💗 our guests! When a previous guest accidentally broke the handle off the toilet hours before a new check-in, we lined the plumber up right away to get it fixed. Our new guests from Minnesota gave us grace and were very understanding, so we popped by with this little Valentine’s treat! What’s a simple act of love or kindness that you’ve given or experienced on your favorite Valentine’s Day?💝

I hit a bucket 🪣 list item a little early when we secured our forever (someday) home, Ohana Oasis - Historic District Punta Gorda, FL - I joined the Punta Gorda Garden Club Inc!!🌺
It’s no secret to many of you that gardening has always been a passion of mine, which especially became evident during Covid with the introduction of my Sunshine Veranda. Now that we officially have a little piece of downtown in our life, I finally made it to my very first gardening club meeting yesterday and loved it! The ladies are so nice, I’m already planning on what I will bring to the plant sharing table next month and have already signed up to have our sweet Dolly home on the Christmas home tour next year.🌲

Why am I sharing all this? Mental health. Lately, my life has been hurricanes, Real Estate, Insurance, newlywed life and our precious boys. Mama takes zero time for herself and to slow down. Some wise counsel lately has reminded me that I can’t take care of my husband, babies and business if I am not taking care of myself. So here you have it, name tag to prove it, I am in the gardening club. Find something you love and are passionate about and make time for it in your life - no matter how big or small it is, make time. Meditate, pray, walk the beach or waterfront, read a book, lock yourself in your closet with a pint of Ben & Jerry’s. No matter what it is, take a moment for yourself, so that you can be a better version of you for everyone around you. 🙏🏡🎉🌺🙌☀️
