The Jetty Fishery is located right on the waters of the Nehalem Bay, less than 10 feet to tide pools, our authentic cabled docks, a

nd sandy beaches. If you want to experience the pounding surf of the Pacific Ocean, you only need to open your window. Just a 2 minute boat ride across the Nehalem Bay and you’ll find yourself on the deserted beaches of the Nehalem Bay State Park. You can comb the beach, relax and read a book in a secluded nest of driftwood, or walk the lovely 3-mile peninsula over to the town of Manzanita and have an ice cream cone. No matter what you like to do, the Jetty Fishery is an excellent base of operations for your local activities.

We have been having some absolutely beautiful few days down here. Looks like summer is back! It's getting windy in the afternoon so come in the AM for some easy going crabbing. Plus the early bird gets the crab anyways.

Hey Hey! We are starting to open at 6 am for he rest of summer and into fall! Come launch your boat or get crabbing before the wind picks up!

We had an awesome time for the crab Derby! Thanks to everybody that came out to support the charity event! Congrats to John C for winning the big prize of $2000! That sweet heart even gave back $500 back for the charities!
We had 6 tagged crabs caught and the second person brought in got the $2000.
We had a lot of fun and it looks like the kids had lots of fun too.

The Annual Nehalem Bay Crab Derby is a fund raising event like no other! We tag 26 commercial crab and release them into the Nehalem Bay June 1st from 9am-5 pm it’s your goal to catch a tagged crab (but who wouldn’t settle for a regular keeper.) When you catch a tagged crab, bring them in right away. At 5 pm we will do the drawing for the 26 prizes, and the people draw in order the crabs were caught. The grand prize for the last couple years has been an astounding $2000.

If you didn’t catch a tagged crab or just don’t have time and still want to help you still have a chance to win. After the tagged crab catcher have done their drawing, all the remaining prizes besides the grand prize will be raffled off to anyone who purchased a derby ticket.

The derby ticket is $10 and is required to have one per tagged crab caught. All ticket sales and games go directly to the 2 charities chosen for that year.

Past prizes have included Milwaukee drill set, seafood dinner for 2, $500, 2 hour crabbing package, surfing lessons etc.
