Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. is DEA National Take Back Day!
A National Survey on Drug Use and Health stated that 6 million Americans misused controlled prescription drugs, a majority of the drugs were obtained from family and friends. The DEA’s Take Back Day events provide an opportunity to prevent drug addiction, overdoses, and su***de attempts.

Let us not forget that it is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. You can get goodies like these and others by attending a Bringing In the Bystander training. We had over 25 participants last night at our training and we would love to educate others on bystander intervention. If you are interested in setting up a session (it is a 1.5 hour training). Please contact the student activities office and they will direct you to the GA for Beaks Up Speak Up.

The Office of Student Advocacy, Violence Prevention and Empowerment has established a standing committee of faculty, staff and students to explore ways to expand prevention programming.

This week, RCC will be hosting a workshop all about consent. This workshop is great for parents, family members, professionals who work with young people, and those interested in expanding their knowledge about consent, boundaries, and healthy relationships.

Allies are faculty, staff, and students at UTSA who provide a supportive and welcoming environment for gay, le***an, bisexual, transgender and questioning (GLBTQ) students. Members of the Allies Program at UTSA may post a placard or wear a lapel pin with the Allies logo to identify themselves.
