Blue Whale Mugging!!!

Someone put out an APB for this friendly blue whale! When a whale gets close to our boat, we immediately put pur motors in neutral. We are essentially stuck until the whale moves away.

Here, you can see this whale comes to say high and even blows us bubbles!!! Blowing bubbles is a form of play/communication seen with many types of cetaceans. This blue whale also gave us a little pectoral slap... a Blue Whale Wave 👋.

Allowing the animals to be comfortable enough to approach a boat takes expert driving from captains who are passionate about their work. Our captains can explain the techniques used to allow these animals to feel at ease.

Come see some blue whale bubbles and come wave 'hello' before they say 'goodbye.'

Our main objective on the water is to find you beautiful people a large baleen whale. In the process of this search we are blessed to come across the Common Dolphin almost everyday here in San Diego. We love large baleen whales but it’s no surprise to us when passengers say the dolphins were their favorite. 🥰

We have had some of the most amazing fin whale encounters this Spring. If you are in San Diego anytime soon you must take advantage of the opportunity to see the 2nd largest animal to EVER EXIST! This was shot yesterday by with Caption Kyle navigating.

Fin whale season is officially something to talk about. Non-stop sightings of the second largest animal in the world. Maxing out at 75ft off our coast we are very happy to see they have plenty of krill to eat off the continental shelf off the San Diego coastline, only 6 miles off shore. Book a trip asap!

This young Juvenile Gray Whale has been inside San Diego bay for 2 weeks now! This juvenile has been seen going for short dives and attempting to eat amphipods off the bay floor. Seen spitting mud and filtering out its food we hope this young gray is getting the sustenance it needs to make its way back up the coast to its regular feeding grounds.
P.s our boat was off, what you hear is the helicopter base a quarter mile away.

Meet Wilbur!! ❤️

We had a 20 day streak of Wilbur 🐳 coming right up to our boat popping his head out of the water to check us out. Everyday he came right back up to us. Typically this behavior is not seen on their migration in the deep ocean but Wilbur is one friendly whale. So grateful and happy to have met this amazing guy. Wishing him the best on his migration north. 🥰
