Keeping an eye on the weather….

[***OUTDATED*** 6:30 AM - Aug. 16]: Tropical Depression Grace is expected to move west northwest across the north central and northwestern Caribbean Sea through midweek. Grace is then expected to move into the southwestern Gulf of Mexico Friday morning as a Tropical Storm, eventually threatening the northeast coast of Mexico Saturday. Residents of Deep South Texas should continue to monitor the progress of Grace over the next several days.

Coastal Texas Protection and Restoration Study comment period open!

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and the Texas General Land Office (GLO) are accepting public comments for the Coastal Texas Study until December 14, 2020.

The Coastal Texas Study is a comprehensive study to examine the feasibility of construction projects for ecosystem restoration projects and coastal storm risk management along the entire Texas coast. Public feedback for this study is critical throughout the process to understand the needs along the Texas coastline.
