Conditions Update

Kick your week off with another cold day on the mountain and some fresh cord! Temperatures are starting off in the single digits again this morning, with the potential to warm up into the teens in the afternoon. We're seeing some winds but they should be much lighter than yesterday and should decrease throughout the day.

We did not measure any new snow last night, and the high pressure is expected to remain for the next few days. Today will be clear, cold, and dry so be sure to bundle up and come see us for a few laps!

Conditions Update

We're kicking off the week with a welcomed high-pressure system. That means we can expect clear skies, pleasant temps, and a gradually transforming snow surface as the temps rise during the day and fall at night throughout the week. It's going to be a great week to rip up some corduroy and take in the views!

Today's footprint is Cloudchaser to Outback, including Summit. Northwest remains closed today, so be sure to cut back to the base of Outback if you venture westward on the mountain.

We're expecting temps to climb into the 30s today, so relatively warm compared to the recent weather we've seen. Winds could pick up later on, so as always, tune into the app or website for the latest updates on lift status.

REMEMBER YOUR MASK STARTING FRIDAY
Starting Friday, Aug. 13, masks are required for all indoor spaces for both vaccinated and unvaccinated people.
Wearing a mask will help slow the spread of the prevalent Delta-variant in Oregon.

We love how green biking is, and appreciate Sunriver, Oregon for creating such a biker friendly environment with their 34 miles of paved bike paths! When bikers make their way through town and into our outdoor shopping mall, we ask that they please park or walk their bikes for the safety of everyone. Thank you for your consideration!

With extreme heat forecasted for what is the foreseeable future, we can not stress the importance of reducing fire risk in the Sunriver community.
Let's work together to and adhere to the following:
- NO FIREWORKS (even sparklers). The smallest spark can be the beginning of a large fire. Subject to $2500 fine!
- SMOKING IS PROHIBITED unless on private property or where designated. Disposing of a cigarette butt on the ground in an extreme heat can cause a wildfire.
- NO OPEN FIRES. Fire pits, charcoal bbqs and any other open flame devices including open flame propane heater are strictly prohibited in Sunriver.

The beauty of Sunriver's pathways are that you can travel safely separate from the main roadways (with the exception of intersections). Please utilize the pathways and do not travel by foot or bike on roadways as they are not designed for pedestrians or bikes - that is what the pathways are for 😀!

With warm dry conditions and fire season in full effect, all fireworks (including safe and sane such as sparklers) are prohibited in Sunriver for everyone's safety and to keep Sunriver fire free.
