I met this kitty at Lake Norman Realty, Inc.'s Community Day back in September. He was fostered by Angels to the Animals. It was way too early after the death of Splinter to have another animal in our home. Then over Christmas the most responsible of the 5 of us (Andrew... #3) asked if he could adopt a cat. We had to say yes. I checked to see if Dune was still available and he was! We went to meet him officially yesterday and fell in love (and fell in love with another one named Chin Chin that I am trying to manifest living with us... but Scott is still a NO.) Anyway, for those of you that have followed our pet journey, meet Dune (yes, as in a sanddune which I think makes it even more obvious he was meant to be part of our family). He is a love bug!

***TURTLE RELEASE***

The Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue and Rehabilitation Center will be hosting a Sea Turtle Release in Topsail Beach, North Carolina on Wednesday, August 16th at 10:00 AM, weather permitting, at the Crews Avenue Access (Beach Access 10). Parking will be available in the lot utilized for the Topsail Beach Summer Craft Market (802 S Anderson) and the Historical Society of Topsail Island (720 Channel Blvd) is opening their parking lot for visitors as well.
