Cape May Zoo!

Happy 15th Birthday, Bataar! 🥳

Bataar is a snow leopard, an endangered cat species native to the mountains of central Asia. Snow leopards are crepuscular, which means they are most active at dawn and dusk. At the zoo, you're much more likely to see them active in cooler temperatures. In the summer, they love spending time in their air conditioned building! Bataar is a shy, cautious guy. His mate, Maliha, really helps bring him out of his shell!

We had a last-minute cancelation. So as of this morning, the week of 4th of July (7/2 -7/7) is still available. Christmas in the Villas…. Wonderful review by some great guests!

My family stayed at Steve & Christina's place over Christmas and we all agree that it was perfect. I've stayed at dozens of AirBnBs and this one certainly ranks very high among them. Cozy, clean, and well-appointed. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare multiple meals and bake some cookies. The bathrooms are spacious, which was great for my grandma who has some mobility challenges. Steve was very quick to respond to my messages and so kind and accommodating. The house was beautifully decorated for the holidays which made it even more welcoming. Even the neighbors were friendly and helpful. We look forward to staying here again!

Lower Township Festival & Fireworks - Sunday July 3rd.

Lower Township’s annual Independence Day festival and fireworks display will be held on Sunday July 3, 2022. The event is a fun-filled evening full of music, entertainment, food, free children's amusement rides, and one of the largest fireworks displays in the area.

The festival begins at 5 p.m. along the bay front in North Cape May between Lincoln Boulevard and Emerson Avenue. Amusement rides are traditionally located on Washington Boulevard.

As the festival winds down around 8:45 p.m., grab your beach blankets and chairs and head down to the bay to watch the fireworks illuminate the Delaware Bay. The fireworks will start shortly after 9 p.m. and are one of the largest pyrotechnic shows in the region.

Don’t waste your precious vacation time driving around searching for parking in Cape May. Take advantage of this safe and free ride service.

The City of Cape May welcomes back the Free Jitney Service this summer!

The service begins this Friday, May 27th, and will run this weekend on Friday from 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM, and Saturday – Monday from 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM.

Following the holiday weekend, the Jitneys will run weekends only until June 12th during the following days and times: Fridays from 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM and Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM.

Beginning June 17th, the Jitneys will run seven days a week from 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM until Labor Day, Monday, September 5, 2022, and back to weekends only until September 25th with the following hours: Fridays from 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM and Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM.

The Jitneys will run two routes – a designated Beach Avenue route and an “Around Town” route that includes service to the Washington Street Mall, Welcome Center, Convention Hall, Coast Guard Base, and many other popular spots. The 13 passenger Jitneys are ADA-compliant, climate-controlled, and run on compressed natural gas. The routes will be highlighted in a brochure which will be available for pick up at Convention Hall as well as hotels and establishments throughout the City.

The Jitney Surfer App will also be available for patrons to view the location of the Jitneys on their smart phones and alert drivers for a pickup. The App is available now on Google Play and the App Store.

Honestly, we do have the best guests... Check out this review:

Lovely place- clean and very comfortable. We had four adults and plenty of room. Wonderful to cook in with everything we needed. The location is awesome too- didn’t realize it is only six miles to Cape May. The outdoor dog washing station is FABULOUS and both our pooches got a good bath. Finally, Steve was really one of the best hosts I’ve had on Airbnb- and I’ve stayed in a lot of places in multiple states. He was friendly, polite and attentive, and it was obvious he wanted us to be comfortable and have a good time. One small piece of advice for travelers though— bring your Fire Stick so you can access your streaming accounts more easily. We forgot ours… Thank you Steve for a great time!

Steve’s place was great! Just a few short blocks to the bay, with lots of nice neighbors. The house is nice and spacious, giving us room to spread out, the table on the deck allowed us lots of room to inspect our shell findings every day, and the fire pit provided a perfect place to relax. We loved hearing the seagulls and shore birds every day. Steve’s place is VERY clean, and we immediately felt right at home, and we were grateful to find a place where we could bring our dog. The beds were comfortable and the master shower had great water pressure. We would love to return to Steve’s!

Such great guests! I'm thrilled that we can help out folks in the off season...

We had a wonderful weekend in the Villas at this lovely home. I would rate even higher than 5 stars if that were possible. Not only was this house beautifully decorated, and appointed with everything we needed during our stay, it was probably the cleanest Airnbnb I've ever stayed in. We were in town for an event in Wildwood and it was just a short drive across town, took us on average just 15 or so minutes to get there each time. It was nice to come back to this quiet area to relax after our events. The area has it's own restaurants and a cute ice cream place, Flecks, that we enjoyed. The hosts were so accommodating and quick to respond with any questions. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
