Our adult-kids-parents-of-little-ones have told us that this kids bunk (left below) just wasn’t practical. Parents of little ones sometimes want to sleep in the same room (or the little want to sleep in the same room as their parents)…and sometimes this room is needed for adults…soooooo. Here is a very sturdy, beefy queen over queen bed. (Right below). Not finished here—will post another picture when it’s all done. FYI: I was the sanding and painting girl. Mattresses, encasements, mattress pads, and bedspreads are on their way. Wooooo hoooo! (And a sweet family in this area is now the owner of the bunk on the left.)(left below)

Every winter we come to the beach to work on projects—projects to enhance the experience of our guests. Last year it was new furniture in the master bedroom and living room….a lot of building and putting together and finding new owners for the old stuff….this year it’s several projects. 2 pallets of beautiful poly wood were delivered to our home, “Mr. HandyGuy”designed and built it in his home office. Then we had to figure out how to get it down to OBX. A UHaul trailer and a lot of muscle and help from a friend and 2 dollys, and our new tiki bar fit perfectly! I’m imagining some great times out by the pool!
