I take fittings for clients in my home. Before every client, I thoroughly wipe down the bathroom, the hand rail, the doorknobs and the light switch plates. I strive to ensure you will have a positive fitting experience. Masks are welcome, but not mandatory. Children are always welcome. If you are uncomfortable having extra people around, I will make sure my kids are outside or in their rooms during our fitting.

Here’s a little something I sewed up this weekend…

So here’s the deal— I have been having car trashcan drama for awhile now. I had a trash can, and it would come loose from the bungee cord that held it and spew trash all over the car. So instead, I just used a grocery bag hooked between my two front armrests. Well, thae bag would constantly rip and also spew trash.

Enter this cute (Rachel picked the colors, can you tell ) functional, washable trash bag-can. It has the loops that will hook over the armrests, but the bag liner itself will fold over the top of the bag and it won’t spew trash everywhere! Added bonus— it’s washable if something spills on it I’ll throw it on the washer!

These bears are so precious and not just because they turned out so sweet. They are memorial bears for a sweet baby who was born stillborn 🥺

I’m not going to lie— I am not a super emotional person and usually memorial projects do not bother me but these bears really pulled at my heart strings 💖 Thankful to be able to be part of the grieving and remembering of little JJ…

Remember the patch I shared last week or so? I was working on proof of concept for this fun patch! I later sewed it onto a baby blanket! Such a sweet way to personalize something!

Made these cute little patches as a proof of concept for a client. So much fun! The possibilities are endless for these patches. Customize the picture! Customize the name and font! Any color!

Wow, what a unique project! This vintage quilt had a number of squares that had disintegrated over the years. I replaced them with a vintage looking fabric that I think matched the style of the quilt and the colors perfectly.

I have been in search of a good kid’s underwear pattern for a long time.

Remember those underwear I sewed for Rachel a couple of months ago? The waistbands all stretched out and they all fall down now 🫤

I recently purchased a new pattern, and I’ve been playing around with a good fit for Rachel. So far, these are so much better! I am also adjusting the stretch of the elastic and fit in the legs! Hoping to have a consistent working pattern soon!!

This might be the craziest thing I ever embroidered!!

These are “tailgate tables” that are about 2 feet across, with a folding metal frame. I had to remove the needle and the foot to fit the frame onto my machine and center the table over the sewing surface.

One of the “fun” projects I accomplished this month was to sew a new sampler of fonts. I recently got a new machine with lots of new options, and I needed an example of how they sew out.

Now, this is super wrinkly and cut crooked (on purpose so it would annoy me and force me to make another one 🤣).

A client came to me with this idea and I LOVE it!

It’s a fold up baby changing pad, complete with pockets to stash a diaper, wipes and diaper cream! It folds up to put in a purse, backpack or simply leave in the car for emergencies.

This project came to me already cut… I just sewed it up! It is too big for Rachel and I have plans to make is smaller but it is a bit involved so it will wait until it’s a bit warmer… looking forward to those days!! I sort of freestyled the bag.
