Yesterday's SAPREC shift kept us busy. There have been an influx of Cape Gulls coming into SAPREC over the past month. The culprits are an oil spill and botulism.

We still dont know where these Gulls are getting oiled, so we want to ask all local residents in and around Mossel Bay to keep in eye out for any seabirds that are oiled. If you find a bird that needs medical assistance please call +27 72 823 9559.

To help contribute to SAPREC and all of the work they do follow:

Yesterday we spent the morning walking with African Elephants at which is always time well spent.

Oakley got to walk beside both Moketsi and Bakari for over a kilometer and spend time feeding Moketsi. 🐘🐘

Thank you Indalu and Oom Gerhard for the amazing and educational experience, we always have such an adventure with you.
