Keep your computers & anti virus up to date. Be cautious for phishing links in your emails. if you are unsure always take the safe option & delete the email rather than click the link.
Even if the email subject is invoice, overdue payment, or you have won something. If you aren't expecting it, delete it.
If need be call the company directly and follow it up, but don't use the number provided in the email (it could also be false), go directly to the company website and find the contact information.
A simple check that can be done, is to 'hover' your mouse (do not click) over the link (URL) and it will reveal the 'actual' link.
Awareness is key in the battle in stopping these and other cyber security related incidents from occurring.
