Thought I would do something different as I have no tours at the moment, My efforts for Christmas I call it Stevo’s Macadamia Nut Gut-Toe

Two layers of meringue with toasted macadamias incorporated into it two layers of tempered chocolate one layer raspberry gel, one layer strawberries and blue berries, one layer cream patisserie topped with vanilla cream, encased in tempered chocolate and chocolate coated nuts should look good when cut I hope 😁

83 years ago tomorrow, on 7 September 1936, the last known thylacine "Benjamin" drew his final breath at Beaumaris Zoo in Hobart when he was left in the cold to die; mere months after his species was granted full protection by the Tasmanian Government. His species was hunted to extinction by humans to protect their livestock.

Since Europeans arrived in Australia, 54 animal and 37 plant species have been officially declared extinct. Another 457 animals and 1318 plants are listed as threatened under our national Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act, many of which have no conservation plans to assist in reversing their declines.

Woeful, Australia.

"As author David Owen writes, the tragic loss of the thylacine "glaringly symbolises wanton, careless destruction of the natural world" – a fitting reminder of what we have lost, and of the urgent need for action to prevent other species from suffering the same fate."
