Did you know on an APT river cruise, you can be accommodated in a Royal Suite? It is lovely & spacious with a balcony AND a French balcony (a French balcony has ceiling to floor sliding doors to open but the “balcony” is flush with the room, so you cannot step out). The French balcony is positioned near the bed to allow a wonderful airflow during the evening, if desired. The “regular” balcony is furnished with 2 chairs and a table so you can sit out & relax, perhaps with a glass is something, watching the world as you sail by. The bathroom is spectacular, with 2 sinks, a roomy shower & a bath (so luxurious 🥰). The mini bar is stocked and champagne is provided on arrival. There is also a butler’s service.
Regardless of which cabin you are in, as the time draws near for your departure, the cruise director will provide luggage tags based on your departure time. These luggage tags mean the crew know when your bags are needed to be moved from your cabin, and then from your cabin to the transfer. The organisation is amazing and best of all, you can relax as it is all taken care of ☺️

On an APT river cruise you may be able to do a rare thing for an Australian - venture through 3 countries in 1 day 🤯 Germany 🇩🇪 then on to Czech Republic 🇨🇿 then to Linz, Austria 🇦🇹
Cesky Krumlov is an UNESCO World Heritage city known for its medieval castle. Such an absolutely stunning place. Linz Friday night life was in swing so the building had colours. The blue was the best, yes?

When you journey on an APT river cruise, you have an option to dine at the Chef’s Table (no extra charge, although they do recommend you book). During this meal, you experience 7 courses, paired with delicious wines. Each meal is explained as it is served by the head waiter. It is a wonderful experience and well worth it. The chef also comes out to speak to you after your meal. Not all pictures came out well, but there is a selection of photos of the courses to “whet your appetite”. Enjoy 😊

Würzburg Residence: you cannot take photos inside but the ceiling above the main staircase is absolutely stunning, painted al fresco style (meaning they apply the plaster & while it is still wet, they apply the paint/colour which then dries permanently as the plaster dries). It is well worth the crank in the neck 😉😆 There are a total of 350 rooms and every room has a “theme” or “purpose”. You can also take a walk to Marienberg Fortress - a symbol of Würzburg, that served as a home of the local Prince Bishops for nearly 5 centuries. It has been a fort since ancient times.
For the history buffs, the man who discovered X-Ray (by accident), Wilhelm Roentgen, was a Professor at Würzburg University. He was awarded a Nobel Prize in Physics. Interested? Contact us today [email protected]

Miltenberg, Germany, such a beautiful little town. Cobblestone streets to walk on. Buildings that lean so much, side streets can sometimes lead to the street getting narrower the further up you go. Some buildings have marks to record past floods (the highest level being recorded back in the 1300’s).
Miltenburg is the castle. Venture up the stairs to get a closer look, to see the old fence line (the fence being a brickwork formation of high height) and the see the grounds.

On the way to Rudesheim there are a lot of castles to see through this section of the Rhine. It can feel magical. At Rudesheim line up for the Gondola cable car ride to the monument called the “Niederwalddenkmal” or “Germania” built on 1871. It stands at 38metres high. The central figure is 10.5m high & weighs 32 tons.

The houses along the Rhine are fascinating in their design and all so unique. Burg Namedy (Namedy Castle), near Aldernach is magical. If you can, take some time to wander through the castle and the grounds (under invitation from the Princess, of course 😉☺️). You can almost “smell” the history. Painted portraits decorated the walls. Just down the way, venture into Koblenz. So much history - well worth the visit. The last photo is what they call “stumbling blocks” to remember the Jewish family that lived there, that were taken during WWII & never returned 😔 If you love your history, you will love Europe. APT River Cruise: The crew are lovely & helpful, approachable & friendly. At the Welcome Cocktail Event (as a courtesy, they understand the first night is not the best as people are jet-lagged, or tired from travelling), the crew are introduced to you and all toast to a “wonderful cruise” followed by dinner in the main restaurant. The food is delicious & made fresh. Coffee and tea and all refreshments readily available. The crew are always ready to take your order and assist. Choose from cabins with windows or cabins with a balcony. So much room in both, including space to read in comfort, practice yoga with ease, and relax. The bathrooms have enough space so you are not bumping your elbows as you move. The top deck has a walking track, a heated pool, a giant chess set & more. Curious? Amsterdam: so beautiful 💙 it reminds me so much of Melbourne, with her trams & people bustling everywhere. I was able to take a stroll to Anne Frank’s house as it was a beautiful day & not too far (17 min walk). I was early to Anne Frank so I went into the Westertorenklok church - so amazing ☺️
Amsterdam is easy to walk around. People are friendly & helpful. The history is eye-opening. Come and talk to us about a river cruise and/or a visit to Amsterdam. You will love it 🥰

REOPENING
In line with the Victorian Government Guidelines, we are pleased to announce we will be opening our doors on Wednesday 3 November at 10am.
We are working on a strict appointment only basis moving forward. This ensures we have adequate time between consults to clean and that we adhere to density limits.
We ask that you check in when before you enter the store and that you wear a face mask as required.
The office will be open 10am until 4pm Monday to Friday. We are pleased to be able to have more staff on board as follows:
Monday: Chloe and Steph
Tuesday: Chloe and Steph
Wednesday: Chloe and Jenni
Thursday: Chloe (with Jenni in every second week)
Friday: Joi (with Jenni and Steph working alternating Fridays)
