Abu Bakar, a 70-year-old Bangladeshi cleaner in Malaysia, has spent the past 31 years away from his homeland, working tirelessly to secure a better future for his family. Since leaving Bangladesh when his fifth child was just six months old, Bakar has dedicated himself to working seven days a week without a single day off. His sacrifices have paid off, as his children have achieved notable success: one is a judge, another a doctor, and his son an engineer. After decades of separation and sending most of his earnings home, Bakar is finally set to reunite with his family this December, including meeting his two grandchildren for the first time.

➡️ Shafiqur joined Biman Bangladesh as a trainee commercial officer in 1986.

➡️ He later served the national flag carrier as director of Administration & Human Resources, director of Procurement & Logistics Support, and director of Marketing & Sales.

➡️ Besides, he served as the country manager of Biman Bangladesh Airlines in Singapore, Thailand, and Greece stations. He retired in 2017 after a long career.

Please be informed that, effective August 15, 2024, all passengers and airline crew (except Maldivian citizens) arriving in the Maldives must complete and submit the online "Traveler Declaration Form" within 96 hours before their arrival. This is a mandatory requirement and applies to all international airlines, aircraft operators, and relevant authorities in the Maldives.

The form can be accessed and submitted via the Maldives Immigration portal at imuga.immigration.gov.mv

বাংলাদেশে পাসপোর্ট করার পুরো প্রক্রিয়া নিম্নরূপ:

১. আবেদন ফরম পূরণ ✍️
- *অনলাইনে আবেদন ফরম পূরণ*: প্রথমে পাসপোর্ট বিভাগের অফিসিয়াল ওয়েবসাইটে (e-passport.gov.bd) গিয়ে আবেদন ফরম পূরণ করতে হবে।
- *আবেদন ফরম প্রিন্ট*: ফরম পূরণের পর আবেদন ফরম প্রিন্ট করতে হবে।

২. প্রয়োজনীয় কাগজপত্র 📄
- *জাতীয় পরিচয়পত্রের ফটোকপি*: ভোটার আইডি কার্ডের ফটোকপি।
- *জন্ম নিবন্ধন সনদের ফটোকপি*: জন্ম নিবন্ধন সনদের ফটোকপি।
- *পূর্বের পাসপোর্টের ফটোকপি* (যদি থাকে)।
- *অন্যান্য ডকুমেন্ট*: যদি আবেদনকারী সরকারী চাকুরিজীবী হন, তবে এনওসি (NOC) প্রয়োজন হতে পারে।

৬. পাসপোর্ট সংগ্রহ 🛂
- *এসএমএস বা ইমেইল*: আবেদন গৃহীত হলে এবং পাসপোর্ট প্রস্তুত হলে এসএমএস বা ইমেইল পাওয়া যাবে।
- *সংগ্রহ*: নির্দিষ্ট পাসপোর্ট অফিস থেকে পাসপোর্ট সংগ্রহ করতে হবে।

কলকাতা ঘুরতে গিয়ে সঠিক গাইড লাইনের অভাবে অনেকেই ট্যাক্সি বা ক্যাবের পিছনে অনেক টাকা খরছ করছেন। যারা ওই অতিরিক্ত খরছ কমিয়ে সুন্দর ভাবে ঘুরতে চাচ্ছেন তাদের ভরসার অন্য নাম হতে পারে কলকাতা মেট্রো রেল। এ সম্পর্কে আপনাদের কিছু বিষয় জানাচ্ছি। মেট্রো রেল গুলো প্রতি ৪ মিনিট পর পর সকাল থেকে রাত ১০.২০ মিনিট পর্যন্ত পাওয়া যায়।

অনেকেই বনগাঁ থেকে সরাসরি শিয়ালদাহ স্টেশনে চলে আসেন। এর পর ক্যাবে ১০০ - ১৫০ রুপি দিয়ে পার্ক স্ট্রিট বা মির্জা গালিব স্ট্রীটে। আপনারা সরাসরি বনগাঁ থেকে দমদম জং এ এসে নামবেন ( দম দম জং এবং দম দম ক্যান্টনমেন্ট স্টেশনের মধ্যে প্যাঁচ লাগাবেন না )। এখান থেকে মাত্র ১৫ রুপি দিয়ে মেট্রো রেলে করে পার্ক স্ট্রীট চলে আসতে পারবেন।

আমরা অনেকেই নিউমার্কেট এরিয়ায় অনেক সময় হোটেল সংকটের কারনে বেশি দামে হোটেল ভাড়া দিয়ে থাকি। আপনারা ইচ্ছে করলেই দমদম বা শোভা বাজার এদিকের হোটেলে থাকতে পারেন। সেক্ষেত্রে মাত্র ১০ বা ১৫ রুপি দিয়ে এসপ্ল্যানেড মেট্রো স্টেশনে চলে আসুন। এখান থেকে মিনিট ২ হাটলেই নিউমার্কেট এরিয়া।

নোট: মেট্রো রেলওয়ে স্টেশন গুলো থেকে ভ্রমনের স্থান গুলো খুব বেশি হলে ১ কিঃ মিঃ এর মধ্যে অবস্থিত, যারা ট্রাভেলার তাদের জন্য এটা কিছুই না। মেট্রো রেলের স্টেশন গুলোতে ছবি তুলা নিষিদ্ধ এবং এই ট্রেন গুলো তে আপনি বড় বড় বস্তা ক্যারি করতে পারবেন না। সাধারন ব্যাগ, হ্যান্ড ব্যাগ, অফিস ব্যাগ, শপিং ব্যাগ ইত্যাদি বহন করতে পারবেন।

Demand for wooden houses is rising globally due to their aesthetic appeal, comfort, and eco-friendliness. Capitalizing on this trend, a Bangladeshi company is exporting fully wooden houses to Europe. These "Boat Tiny Houses" resemble upside-down boats and feature all-wood construction, including furniture. They are being manufactured in Karori, a remote village in Bagerhat, by the company Natural Fiber.

Natural Fiber is building these eco-cottages for Pairi Daiza, a renowned Belgian botanical garden and zoo, having received an initial order for 110 houses. The construction process involves local workers and foreign advisors ensuring high quality. The company previously supplied over 400 posts for elephant corridors and fencing to the same park.

CEO Mujahid Ahmed highlighted the use of special Ipe wood for the roofs to ensure durability, while all other materials are locally sourced. Each house will be shipped in separate parts and assembled in Belgium. Natural Fiber is collaborating with Greece’s Coco-Mat and Belgium’s Noy Builders for technical support.

This project is not only boosting local employment but also showcasing Bangladeshi craftsmanship on a global stage. Natural Fiber aims to continue expanding into other European markets, furthering their innovative and eco-friendly product offerings.

কানাডার ১০ বছরের মাল্টিপল এন্ট্রি ভিজিট ভিসা আবেদন করার নিয়ম!!

কানাডার ভিসার ক্ষেত্রে অন্যান্য দেশের তুলনায় মোটামুটি সহজ। আবেদন ফরম, ফ্যামিলি ইনফর্মেশন ফর্ম, ইলেকট্রনিক সিস্টেম, আবেদন ফরম ডাউনলোড করে টাইপিং করে ফিলাপ করে আপলোড করতে হবে।

সবগুলা ডকুমেন্টস স্ক্যান কপি আপলোড করতে হবে। অরজিনাল কোন ডকুমেন্টস লাগবে না। আপলোড করার পর পেমেন্ট অপশন আসবে। ক্রেডিট কার্ড অথবা ইন্টারন্যাশনাল ডেবিট কার্ডের মাধ্যমে পেমেন্ট করতে পারবেন।

আবেদন ফিঃ 100 CAD Biometrics Fee (VFS Global) + Visa Fee 85 CAD; Total = 185 CAD

পেমেন্ট করার পর Biomimetic Request আসবে। তারপর VFS Global এ ফিঙ্গারপ্রিন্ট এবং ছবি তুলে রাখবে।অরজিনাল পাসপোর্ট বায়োমেট্রিক্স নেওয়ার পর সাথে সাথেই রিটার্ন করবে।

প্রসেসিং টাইমঃ কারও ক্ষেত্রে দেখা যায় 10 দিনের মধ্যে রেজাল্ট আবার কারো দুই মাস সময় লেগে যায়।মোটামুটি ভাবে তিন সপ্তাহের মত সময় লাগে।

বাংলাদেশ থেকে আবেদন করলে সিঙ্গাপুর অথবা ইন্ডিয়া থেকে ভিসা ইস্যু হয়। যদি Visa Application Approve করে তাহলে পাসপোর্ট রিকুয়েস্ট করবে। তখন আবার VFS Global এ পাসপোর্ট সাবমিশন করতে হবে। দশ দিন থেকে দুই সপ্তার মধ্যে হাতে ভিসা সহকারে পাসপোর্ট পাবেন। যদি কোন কারণে রিজেক্ট করা হয়, তাহলে GCkey একাউন্টে রিজেকশন লেটার দেওয়া হবে।

ওয়ার্ক পারমিট ভিসা এবং স্টুডেন্ট ভিসার ক্ষেত্রে মেডিকেল টেস্টের প্রয়োজন হয়।

একবার বায়োমেট্রিক্স দিলে 10 বছর মেয়াদ থাকে। কোন কারণে যদি রিজেক্ট হন, দ্বিতীয়বার অর্থাৎ Reapply এর সময় বায়োমেট্রিক্স ফি দিতে হবে না।
