Entry fee to Monument sites
Dasho/Sir/Aum,
The Department of Tourism (DoT) is pleased to inform you that following the 15th National Monument Fund Supervision Committee meeting, which convened on 27th February 2023, there has been a revision of the monument sites charging entry fees in Bhutan to only seven sites (refer to table below). Furthermore, the entry fee amounts have also been reduced. This change is applicable to all tourists and visitors with effect from March 15, 2023.
The revised list of monument sites and their entry fee amounts are as follows:

1 Taktsang 1000/- 50% exemption of fees for children of 6 years but below 18 years and no fee for children of 5 years and below remains status quo.
2 Kyichu 500/-
3 Changangkha 500/-
4 Memorial Chorten 500/-
5 Tashichho Dzong 500/-
6 Punakha Dzong 500/-
7 Chhimi Lhakhang 500/-
No entry fee will be charged for Jakar Dzong, Simtokha Dzong, Buddha Dordenma, Dobji Dzong, Trongsa Dzong, Jambay Lhakhang, Kurjey Lhakhang, Rinchending Lhakhang, and Ringpung Dzong.
Additionally, an online monument site booking and payment system has been introduced to enhance the service delivery. The online system is accessible at https://services.tourism.gov.bt/. The online system is integrated with domestic payment gateway system for advance payment and booking services.
Therefore, DOT, MoICE would like to request RBP officials verifying entry tickets to accept the e-ticket copy whenever tourists has availed the service. Similarly, we would like to request all the guides and tour operators to kindly use the online system.
