Samoens itself is a traditional French village relatively unspoiled by tourist developments. Once a thriving stone-cu

tting centre, it still retains its character and charm with an 11th century medieval church, stone fountains and rustic old buildings overlooked by the enchanting Criou mountain. In the winter months, it only takes 8 mins by free ski bus from Chez Michelle to the Grand Massif Express lift and access to 265kms of pistes of Samoens, Flaine, Morillon, Les Carroz and Sixt. There's skiing for beginner, intermediate and advanced skiers and snowboarders, and there's plenty of off-pistes opportunities too! In the summer months, there's an almost infinite amount of things to do for all ages and abilities. There's mountain biking, road cycling, walking, rafting, paragliding, swimming, sunbathing, tennis, horse riding, rock climbing and so much more...you certainly won't get bored!
