We went on the Quiole Reservoir walk, about a 10 min drive from here. You can walk to the lower and/or upper reservoir. It is a nice level path through fields of sheep and enjoy walking through the beautiful rolling countryside.

It’s only 4 weeks until St. Patrick’s Day and our popular climb to the top of Slemish is all organised. Many of our followers have been asking ‘We Are Broughshane’ for more information.

Mid & East Antrim Borough Council have planned a free ‘Park and Ride’ shuttle bus service which will operate from Silverwood/Michelin, Raceview Road to Slemish Mountain. The bus service will operate from 9am-3.30pm on Sunday 17th March.

Active outdoor adventures in Mid & East Antrim are all around us!

This time of year is great for getting into the wilds, and it doesn't get much wilder than Slemish Mountain!

A scenic drive brings you to the car park at the base of Slemish (where you'll find handy toilet facilities) and you can reach the summit in well under an hour. Then marvel at the panoramic views of the entire countryside. Bring a flask of hot tea and spend a while in these spectacular surroundings - you'll soon feel revitalised, and, once you've taken a few stunning photographs, be ready to begin your descent.
