The Glen Dye Arms is possibly…probably…no, certainly Scotland’s smallest pub. And maybe its best. It is BYOB and only open to our guests. There have been some big nights here, and some gentle afternoons, too. Come on down. 🍷🍺🎯

Our restaurant closes for the year on Saturday. We have two spaces available on one night, all other nights are sold out. The Discovery & Adventure Trail/Centre are open every day, all year.

The new Discovery & Adventure Centre is now open for our guests’ exclusive use. There are activities, there’s an amazing trail, a library, a shop, a sauna, cold tanks and loads more. It adds amazing value for our beautiful guests.

Come and stay at The Bothy. It only sleeps two, which is romantic in itself, but it’s also a lovely small house which faces the sunrise, has a garden with a hot tub and an outdoor kitchen and you can hear the River Dye rumbling below you. 🏞️🦦☀️ I don’t mean to be rude but if that doesn’t feel enticing, maybe you don’t have a heart.

Tomorrow we launch our brand new Discovery & Adventure Trail, which is a series of paths in pristine woodland that’s full of discovery, adventure and WONDER. This cairn is part of it, created using a palette of colours from Glen Dye by the amazing ably assisted by our very own Rory. 🪨❤️💙💜🖤💛🖍️

Welcome to Glen Dye.

Glen Dye is a private estate of around 30,000 acres and our cabins and cottages sit slap bang at its centre, surrounded by wilderness forest and moorland on the banks of the River Dye. The location is fabled; watched over by the massive granite tor of Clochnaben and at the northern end of the Cairn o Mount mountain pass. This is where the Howe of the Mearns finally gives in to the Highland boundary fault; wild, beautiful and very, very quiet.

We have three perfect holiday cottages each with outdoor, woodfired hot tubs and one with its own private cabin. We have also converted the old estate sawmill into a private outdoors paradise; here you’ll find a 1955 Airstream with a giant bed, a fully restored foresters’ kitchen and sitting room, a spectacular outdoor shower and a woodfired hot tub. These cabins and cottages combine jaw dropping wild locations with perfect comfort and style.
