Complete change today...

This was Shereen's first visit to me. After a consultation and a few colour choices we decided to go for a more autumn/winter look.

As this guests hair is very very dark it can sometimes be difficult to lift lighter without bleach. We created this look just with tint.

It was just perfect and so very very rich.

The look was finished with a cut and style. I used my multi brush technique to create all the bounce and movement.

Wella Koleston perfect Me was used to create this, along with an over lay of colour touch.

Wella reds are just the best 😍

A little bit about me for all my new followers.

I'm Carmen, the face behind the brand.

I've been hairdressing all my life, well apart from 15 years of those. As I expect cutting your Cindy dolls or Girls worlds hair isn't included....

I have been trained by Wella for colouring right from the start of my career and still use it to this day for all colour work.
That's where my passion is, along side keratin smoothing treatments.

Over the years I've been trained by Regis, Wella, Vidal Sassoon and keratin complex.

I'm a firm believer in, if it works why change it and that's why I have decades of experience in all the product ranges I use.

12-13years ago I started offering a service that was very new and not very popular.... A keratin smoothing treatment, which is now one of my most popular treatments next to colouring. No more struggling with unmanageable hair. have a follow🥰

2 years ago I decided to go freelance and be based nearer to home. This meant me closing my salon after nearly 15 years. I've never looked back.

I'm so passionate about my job, customer service and products. Knowledge is key and it's my job to teach you how to look after your hair......

I only use professional brands, Wella, Sebastian, Olaplex, Keratin Complex, Moroccan Oil and Wow.

Trying something different 🤩

Being blonde takes many hours and sometimes you just don't have the time...

has been having full head back to back highlights which takes a very long time. She still wanted to be as light as possible though.

Today we went for an all over tint and some highlights. This is to try and achieve a light base with multi tonal pieces...

Today we used Wella illumina and Wella blondorplex. We finished it all with Wella colour touch .

With tint it can be done more often, so the results will get better and better as you have less root area.

Big colour day for this beaut today 🤩

wanted to go lighter, moving forward potentially we may do some silver/glitter blending...

On Michelle's last visit we went a tad darker on the base colour. Today we wanted to lift as much as that out as possible.
I also wanted to remover some of the warmth. But at the same time do her base colour...

Back to back highlights were used, a full head base colour as I wanted coverage and neutralise the warmth. Once all this was developed I then melted and blended everything together.

The face framing was kept heavier and a root created to give a lived in look.

Something like this is a colour change so would be priced per hour. A lot of hours, products and creativity goes in to creating something like this.

Time 8.5 hours

The hair felt amazing after.

Products used.... Wella blondorplex, Wella Koleston perfect me, Wella colour touch and Olaplex products.

Been a bit quiet lately….. But back with a bang 💥

What a transformation 🤩
hadn’t had her hair done since last year, she’s had a few holiday in the meantime also.
She was in for a reverse balayage, but after a good in-depth consultation we decided just to add some low lights and highlights as she was a little unsure.

This way if she wanted to go a lot lighter it would be easier.

But we knew we wanted to break up the amount of colour we had and change the tone.

I created this stunning look with back to back highlights and low lights. We focused on the face framing area being a little lighter.

Wella blondorplex, Wella blondorplex toner, Wella colour touch and Wella illumina were all used to create this look.

Something like this is charged per hour as it’s classed as a colour change. The 9 hours were most certainly worth it.

Time for a change 😍

hadn’t had her hair done for quite some time.
She is also in the process of growing it, so today we re vamped the colour and shape..

Working with the natural hair enabled me to achieve some lovely dimension and tones with the colour.

We took the base colour to a nice chocolate brown and then took big zig zag sections and added a mixture of two different colours. This created really lovely textured tones throughout.

Michelle didn’t want to have blonde highlights and was happy to have just one colour, but after the consultation and planning the cut we decided some dimension would finish off the short s**g shape…

We even managed to get some natural light for the pictures, which is always a bonus 😍😍😍❤️

Wella Koleston perfect was my colour of choice.

If we can go lighter, we will 😍

was in for her colour refresh. I asked the question, would you like to be any lighter?
Over the last year since I’ve been doing Renee’s hair, the condition has improved so much. So we could achieve a lighter result.

Condition is key. I used Wella blondorplex, this has the wellaplex technology built in. The results are amazing.
Blondorplex toners also have the wellaplex technology in. They work line by line with the bleach.
Wella colour touch was used for the root tap, this just blurs the root out slightly.

We achieved what we set out to do, but most importantly we kept the condition of the hair.

Sometimes lights aren’t your friend….

was in for her highlights. It’s been over a year since we last did a full head.

Our goal has always been to get lighter and to help blend out the natural colour.

Today I did back to back woven highlights. This would achieve maximum contrast. I was also able to go in slight lighter for her base colour.

The colour turned out perfect. I used Wella Blondorplex, Wella illumina and Wella blondorplex cream toners 😍😍

Once her natural roots start to show, the blend I did will really help disguise them.

I’m so in love with the cream toners. A dream to work with. 5 mins of magic 🤩

Sam’s next visit is 1 week longer, so this will be the real test of this colour blend…

Well worth the time and effort 🤩

was in today for her colour. This time we wanted to go brighter and lighter… It had been 6 months since her last visit..

I created this look with lots and lots of back to back highlights, weaving out the natural hair..

We wanted a lighter area framing the face..

Everything was melted together with a darker base colour into lighter mid length to ends.

The condition is key. We used Olaplex and k18 throughout.

Wella Blondor and Wella Colour Touch were used.

A smooth blow dry finished with waves.

Hair like this don’t happen in a few hours, lots of time and effort goes into these looks…

💗💜about pinks and lilacs today….

It’s always fun when I have in.

Every 3 months we top up her roots, I use bleach and then have a little play with the toners…

Today I asked if I could have free rein with the toner, as I had something in mind….

We used several different shades, a deeper root into different panels. Leaving the top a few shade of pinks so it all blend nicely….

I used Wella colour Touch, shinefinity and Koleston perfect me for all the toners.
Wella Blondor was used for the bleach. And as always slow and very low….

Since this clients last cut which was about 6 weeks ago, she has had really bad covid, sun damage to the drivers side of her hair and was a regular user of bleach of london shampoo. We have noticed her hair on the left side become very fragile. So it’s very important to take all this in to account….

Today we focused on colouring the roots, no refreshing to the mid to ends. Olaplex and k18 was used every step of the way….

Hair felt great and looks lovely 😍

Big change for this beauty.

had been growing her hair for quite a while, for a very special occasion 🤩

Now it was time for a change, she has been waiting for this for so long..

We went for a long graduated textured bob… This lovely guest also has a PBO which makes her hair so easy to manage.. Smooth, silky, frizz free hair is a must 🤩

What a change 🤩

This lovely guest wanted something less maintenance. After many years of colouring her hair, she wanted to go more natural..

I created this look with lots of fine bleached highlights. Lots and lots of little sections, not following a normal pattern..
I added some darker pieces along the way, again very randomly placed.
The hair that was left out the highlights I also bleached some of those.
This created dimension.

I toned with a selection of light and darker toners by Wella shinefinity.

The overall look was seamless and will grow out very well.

A very happy lady she was 🤩😍🥰

When the clients face lights up 🤩

Tracey has been a client of mine for many, many years.
She’d had a little break and when she came back to me in March, we spoke about going lighter.

March I just put a few panels here and there along with a base colour….

Moving forward we didn’t want to maintain the base colour.
Today decided on a full head of fine highlights. This would blend her natural colour perfectly…

I used Wella Blondor followed by Wella shinefinity… The results were just right.

Tracey couldn’t believe how light we got it and just LOVED IT… January she was dark…

When a clients face lights up like this ladies did today, you know you have done a great job… This is why I love my job so much…

Definitely got what we wanted 🤩

was in for her colour touch up. After our consultation we decided on a full head of back to back woven highlights and a gentle bleach cleanser on the mid to ends when wet.

Lisa was originally in for highlights through the top area and hairline. But I knew deep down she wanted to be as bright and light as we could achieve.

Things can sometimes take longer than originally planned but it’s all worth it…

Big changes 🤩

Sam wanted a change today. Previously we had been doing a darker root colour into lighter ends. But today we wanted to lift the darker root area.

I packed lots of fine highlights in to lift that area. The darker areas will over time get to where we want..
But more importantly keeping the condition.
I always use the slow and low technique.

We cut the length up also, the front areas need to just catch up slightly.

A completely refreshed look for this lovely guest…

🤩 WOW

A complete overhaul today for this lovely guest

We had a vision and what we created was better than the vision..

I created this total transformation by doing a few different techniques….

The base of the cut was created first, this was to see where we wanted to position the colour…
I did a full head back combed foilage, followed by a wet balayage. I wanted to achieve and get as much colour deposited as I could… The memo was “I don’t want to look sun kissed’

I then used Wella colour touch to create the seamless blend from darker to lighter brighter ends.

This was definitely worth all the hours put in.

Once dry I then personalized the cut… creating a shape just for this guest.
This can be worn bouncy and tousled or wavy and textured like today…

I loved creating this today.

When getting a picture is easy 😍

This stunning client has been waiting ages to visit me for the first time. But today the wait was over….

was in for a cut and style, but she wanted to really freshen up her hair. It has been a while since her last cut. We wanted to cut to a length where this guests hair looked more healthy.

The end result was stunning. Even better when I said let’s take a picture, the model in her came out… first take = picture perfect….

Truffle delight 🤩

Vicky was in today for her highlighs cut and style……
But she fancied a change and wanted to go darker….

Lucky for me I’d also been doing a root melt with colour touch…
So today we could go darker using Wella colour touch….

Firstly I had to fill the old colour. I did this using Wella colour touch also. This would stop the hair looking flat, dull and soaking up the end colour.
It’s very important to complete this stage.

Using Wella colour touch will always keep the hair really shiny, it has no regrowth and it’s very low maintenance, so if Vicky wanted to change back at any time she can….

We finished with Shinefinity and a multi brush blow dry to complete this Truffle transformation….

Working with a blank canvas is just the best. And even better when the results are perfect.

This guest has never had her hair coloured before, so it was a big change. And a joy to work with for me.

We had our end goal and certainly achieved that and more.

😍Little before and after.

Kia was in for a smooth bouncy blow dry…
We also took the opportunity to freshen up her colour.

Today we just used Wella Shinefinity. This would give us a lovely shine and freshen up her highlights but not affect the base colour.

As you can see Kia has very curly hair, we used Olaplex 6 and 7 to help smooth it out.
We finished the look with some soft waves…

This gorgeous guest Victoria wanted a complete change.
She’s a new mummy and her hair was feeling lifeless.

We had an end goal image and tweaked it slightly, this was just so it wasn’t quite as short..

The memo was bouncy, less heavy, more volume and shine. I certainly think we achieved that today.

Victoria hadn’t had a salon experience for a long time either, so today was a nice little pamper for this new mummy… Giving her a well deserved ME day…. 😍🥰❤️

Wow 🤩

Michelle hasn’t been in for a while. She had been topping up the colour herself and trimming bits here and there.

Today we wanted to take her back to where she was when we last did her hair.

This guests hair is very thick so being very precise is key. We cut the basic shape but never completely finish it till it’s all dried. This way we can see how it sits and personalise and tweak where needed.

Colour wise…. Focus point the front…..we added lots of highlights to this area. This will not only help when the roots come through, but it also gives the hair cut texture… A nice rich deep chocolate base finished it off.

The start of a new week ❤️

So today I had the keratin complex personalised smoothing treatment. I normally have this twice a year. I didn’t have time for the full treatment today, so I went for the frizz free one. My hair is very curly but I have had this treatments for about the last 8 years. The end result was still as good as the one to take away curls. I just blasted and a quick smooth over with a round brush after instead of a proper blow dry to see how it was. Still very smooth, frizz and curl free. This treatment is life changing for frizzy hair, curls and waves. You can have smooth frizz free curls or straight hair. Your choice. ❤️
