A private holiday let in Widemouth Bay, Bude. Comfortably sleeps 10 people. In May 2014 we took ownership of 1 The Mallows, Widemouth Bay.

We plan to renovate and update the building and let it during the holiday season. The property currently consists of a 3 bedroom bungalow and separate annex the same size as the house. There are large gardens and the beach is a 2 minute walk away.

Yesterday I walked from Bossiney along the coastal path to Rocky Valley. Some beautiful coves to be explored at a later date. Rocky valley never disappoints!

Boscastle is a great little village 20 minutes away that houses the Museum of Witchcraft.

Also available are lots of lovely places to eat - I can recommend The Rocket Store.

Lovely walks and quirky shops. Well worth a visit.

Great to have Nicky Leonard come and stay for a few days. It's amazing what you can come across when walking on the beach.

Picked a friend up from Newquay Airport yesterday and wanted some food nearby before coming home. Found this gem - The Bearded Brewery where we had some great cider and pizzas from Dough + Base.

Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

Our Story

In May 2014 we took ownership of 1 The Mallows, Widemouth Bay. We are continually renovating and update the building and let it out through-out the year. The property currently consists of a 3 bedroom bungalow and separate annex the same size as the house. There are large gardens and the beach is a 2 minute walk away.

Last year, 2018, we replaced all of the bathrooms in the main building and redecorated it, added an outside shower and replaced both sets of patio doors in the annex. We also replaced the pump of the sewage system - not something you can see but essential to the smooth running of the house. Early this year, 2019, the downstairs in there annex was redecorated too.

Major works have been carried out in the gardens this year as it was all getting a bit wild. The hedges and bushes have all been trimmed back. Our plans for later this year are to replace some of the carpets in the main building.
