Samphire Scotland launched in June 2015 and is the satellite Scottish office of one of London’s leading food and drink PR agencies, Samphire Communications. It is run by Jessica Sneddon who joined the business in 2013 as the company’s first full time employee. In 2015, and with the backing of Amy Williams and Zoe Wilmer, the company co-founders, she decided to venture back to her home-town of Edin
burgh to start up a local office with a national focus. With a decade of PR experience under her belt Jessica is committed to maintaining a ‘hands on’ approach and is able to share her and Samphire Communications expertise and experience with clients personally, so they can immediately benefit from their depth of knowledge and contacts. A bit more about Samphire Scotland…
Samphire Scotland’s parent company is Samphire Communications, which was set up by Amy Williams and Zoe Wilmer five years ago. They were previously company directors at Sauce (Gordon Ramsay’s original agency) and each have over 15 years food PR experience. Their intention was to create a niche agency where clients directly benefit from their experience and expertise. Jessica Sneddon started her PR career at The Balmoral hotel in Edinburgh where she was the PR and Marketing Manager, before moving into retail for a short spell as an Area PR Manager for House of Fraser. Following that she moved agency side, working at a number of companies including Escapade PR and Rawlingson Lane before moving to Samphire to focus on her passion for food, drink and hospitality. Samphire Communications has a niche portfolio of fantastic clients, and the intention is to replicate this in Scotland. They currently work with a number of leading chefs and their restaurants including Tom Kerridge, Atul Kochhar, Michael Wignall, Anthony Demetre, James Sommerin and Aldo Zilli. In addition, they have a mix of hotels, restaurants, cafes, bars, as well as food and drink products including Bel and The Dragon Country Inns, The Abinger Cookery School, Kurobuta, Salvatore’s Bar, Parlour, The Coal Shed & The Salt Rooms in Brighton and Jascots Wine Merchants.
