General information
Testimonial from Richard Warren - a self taught spearo who did a Pool Freediver Course with us "The freediver course was real help for my spearfishing skills. The breath hold techniques were a great help and I have seen an improvment already. The course showed me I was practising a fairly dangerous breath hold which could have caused a fatal black out. With abit of practise the new technique will improve the time under water. A lot of people like myself think we can just put on a suit and go spearfishing - well this course will teach you how your body uses the oxygen, how the body works without oxygen. Also you will learn how to keep safe and watch out for your dive buddy and a few things that you can do leading up to your dive was also a help. In short this course was a very friendly, well set out and full of information. The course is a very useful tool for your diving bag."

Freedive Cornwall
Based near Falmouth, Freedive Cornwall is run by AIDA Instructor Trainer and PADI Freedive Instructor Trainer Sam Amps (nee Kirby). We specialise in teaching people how to enjoy and explore the sea, on a single breath. Whilst we can run the full range of PADI and AIDA Freedive courses, we prefer to concentrate on tailoring your training to help you stay down longer, swim quietly and efficiently so you see more, and perfect your technique so you get the most from your dive. This might be to help your spearfishing, to take photos, undertake marine surveys, or just see the most you can without needing scuba gear. Courses and guided freedives take place from time to time, mostly around Falmouth and the Lizard. Just get in touch if you think we might be able to help. If we can’t teach you ourselves, we’ll recommend someone who can.
