Monday's tours were for 54 people, and today's was for three (sunny weather is never good for ticket sales). And yet it was a lovely one — Sue, a local, and her visiting sister, Nicki, were company of the highest quality... and yes, bought me an ice cream afterwards 🙂

Part of this job is making the most of what comes. Dozens of American cruise ship passengers? Terrific. A handful of lovely locals? Also terrific. One pays the bills, the other provides connection and new stories of this place and its many layers.

Would you and your camera-confident kids like to take part in a photoshoot at Trelissick this summer? A photographer is heading to Trelissick on 1 August, and we’re looking for family groups to be photographed enjoying our Summer of Play activities.

The National Trust is ‘for everyone, for ever’ and we’re on a mission to make sure that everybody feels welcome at our places. One of the ways we’re doing this is by working to make our image library inclusive and representative of everyone in our local community.

We know that families come in all forms and everyone is welcome – we want our images to show real people having fun and making memories.
