Despite what social media and news may lead us to believe, the world outside our home comforts is not always scary. Instead, stunning locations, like our beautiful Frome, await discovery. And with the close-knit and friendly community, there’s no need to be worried!

If you struggle with anxiety and the thought of spending a day alone, don’t fret. We’re here to put your mind at ease and help you make the most of your solo time.

We recommend easing yourself into a solo day by heading to and participating in one of their morning classes, such as yoga or Pilates.

Exercise is a great way to reduce anxiety, leaving you feeling refreshed, calm and ready to confidently tackle the day ahead.

Whether you choose Pilates or yoga, both provide many mental well-being benefits. They spark a chemical change in the brain that releases endorphins, often leading to improved happiness levels and reducing stress, anxiety and depression.

After your class, continue your exercise high by exploring the unique and diverse shops dotted on Catherine Hill. And when your legs are feeling tired, fuel up on serotonin-boosting carbs at the for a fresh, locally sourced pub classic. A weak spot of ours is their succulent beef burger, served with juicy salad and crunchy fries. Nothing says carbs like a burger does.

To end your day on a high note, head over to the bar on the bridge, . Their talented mixologists will have you stunned, whipping up cocktails you can’t refuse. Don’t miss their newly introduced spring/summer 2023 cocktail menu, featuring the pineapple yuzuita. We can’t wait to try it on our next visit.

We hope this inspires you to embark on a solo adventure to Frome. We promise it won’t disappoint.

It was a beautiful morning on Glastonbury Tor today. I was the only one up there for a long time. One of those days where I just kept on marvelling at the beauty of it all. This was the first one I took before sunrise showing flood water on the levels from St Michael's tower.
