🎨Maiden Bridge's Summer Art Exhibition is back for 2024, taking place from Saturday 18 May and running every Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday until Sunday 30 June!

🍂 Featuring paintings by David Davies and textile art by Hannah Smeds-Davies, as well as works by other painters and sculptors, the exhibition will focus on the beauty of the natural world.
🌳 Taking inspiration from their environments, from wildlife and from the diversity of nature, these talented artists will present paintings, textiles, etching, sculptures, ceramics and wooden bowls in the welcoming setting of Maiden Bridge. The stunning gallery, converted from a barn, is the perfect backdrop for these vibrant and diverse artworks.

🖼️ The Lunesdale Arts 2024 Studio Trail is also taking place in May - (Sat 18, Sun 19, Sat 25, Sun 26, Mon 27) - artists in and around the Lune Valley will throw open their studios to showcase and sell their paintings, woven and felted textiles, sculptures, lino cuts and engravings.

This year at the Maritime Museum it's all about PIRATES! 🦜☠️

🕛 We're open 12-4pm EVERY DAY from Good Friday, 29th March until Sunday 14th April. Drop in for a visit and try our Pirate Academy Challenge any day you like - ideal for primary age children, this has riddles, games & more to keep your little sea dogs busy!

We have two different public tours coming up in the next couple of weeks, looking at the spooky & sinister side of Lancaster’s past! Our next Hauntings, Hangings & Horrid Happenings event is this Thursday evening at 8pm. On Good Friday we take a look at the story of the Pendle Witches, prehaps Lancaster Castle's most famous group of prisoners. Witchcraft - 1612 starts at 10am. 🎶This is a fantastic chance to see the wonderful Leeds Conservatoire Contemporary Pop Choir at Lancaster Priory! With a rousing repertoire featuring music by Bruno Mars and Stevie Wonder, this will be an evening of toe-tapping entertainment in an amazing setting!🎶

After last year’s huge success, this superb group returns with a repeat gig on Saturday 9th March at 7pm with Craig Lees (Director), Declan Davies (Accompanist), choir, soloists, local schools and audience participation!

Tickets selling fast so reserve your space in advance. No matter the genre, choirs have always had a unique ability to bring people together in harmony, both musically and emotionally. In doing so, they have the power to fill the world with joy.

Rounding off another fantastic year, the Contemporary Pop choir will unleash its signature high energy style of delivery to bring a set that is sure to have the audience smiling, singing and dancing along.
