On Monday, Abby Penston and Dani Ives travelled to the North East of England with London North Eastern Railway. They started the day in the first class lounge at London’s King Cross which was quiet with only a few people so lots of different areas to sit including sofas and also working stations with plugs. On offer in the lounge was packets of biscuits, crisps along with tea, coffee machines.
On board they got to experience LNER’s newest product with leather style seats and large tables. Breakfast on offer included bacon baps, fruit and even smashed avocado and poached eggs. Breakfast was served quickly along with tea and coffees with dairy free alternatives on offer. In the afternoon there was curries, sandwiches, salads, desserts as well as soft drinks, wines, beers and spirits on offer, including an exclusive beer made for LNER by the Rudgate Brewery in York.
The journey was seamless on all accounts, here is what Focus CEO Abby Penston had to say ‘It is great to finally moving after so long under restrictive conditions and the ease of returning to something we took for granted not so long ago quickly became second nature again. The comfort of the 1st Class cabin and lounges with LNER made the journey truly enjoyable. It was a great day to experience this fabulous product’
