🐝 World Bee Day 🐝 did you know that the pioneer of bee-keeping, Anton Janša, was born back in 1734 on this very day! Now more than ever it is vital for us to acknowledge the role of bees and other pollinators for the ecosystem.

🐝 At Reschio more than 70% of the estate comprises ancient oak and chestnut forests with meadows carpeted in wild and garden flowers, perfect for nectar-foraging bees to carry back to their hives. Reschio’s honey is available to guests!

🐝 At Terre Blanche Hotel Spa Golf Resort beehives are kept secluded in the forest, where the resort produces its own honey. Guests can discover the art of bee-keeping, and of course have their own tasting session!

Green shoots 🌱 at The Garden Room at The 5 Star Merrion Hotel in Dublin which is scheduled to reopen on 5th May. We wish we lived a little closer to sample the innovative Merrion Takeaway Service which also launched some lovely new Spring options on 26th March. Chef Ed Cooney is rustling up tasty dishes that can be picked up from the front of the hotel or delivered in the greater Dublin area. If you’re dreaming of the hotel’s Afternoon Tea, this can also be ordered to enjoy in your own home with special extras to choose from such as a Merrion floral Bouquet or a bottle of Henriot Champagne!
