Some pictures taken the other day. Due to not so many sheep being around we now have to cut our grass. The plus side is the flowers are growing again.

It was just a quick visit today. Firstly to meet a gentleman who advised us on the Otter activity on the River Taw at the bottom of our grounds. An interesting hour spent. Some othe small jobs and some pictures.
We had flurries of Rain, Sleet and Snow

Today its cold but surprisingly warmer than South Dartmoor. On the way here temperatures as high as 3.5 degrees recorded. But out of the sun the snow is still visable and rather cold

Today despite the rain we have attended to the trees around the car park, removing old branches to reduce the risk of falling branches.

Yesterday was busy but a rewarding day. The Christmas tree is up with new lights The snow was on the ground, very pretty. Our first Christmas guests arrived looking happy

At last we have made it. We have at last managed to get a smart meter meter fitted. In the end it involved four men to upgrade all the bits from National Grid plus the the new meter install.
We are ready now to export some power . When we get sun

The storm was not so bad as expected here at BA. It was however very wet and alot of water in the river. A wonderful sight, possibly the highest I’ve seen it in 7 years of regular visits

Today we had an inspection by Sophie of the DR Company regarding the funding they arranged for the payment of our new entrance lobby. It all went well and we have exceeded even our own projections. Once again many thanks to all of our guests

It was busy last week. Jobs done, decissions made. We took delivery of new chairs fir the main room at 07.50 am on wednesday morning. This weekend was a trustee retreat tidying the grounds, sorting out the compost area. Chossing fabric to recover the bedroom chairs and building a roof over the bin store. Many thanks to all who helped.

River Taw in full flood at Bernard’s Acre Belstone

Earlier today the River Taw at the bottom of our garden was in full flood. A spectacular sight.

We had a great day yesterday, we not only have the best bathrooms in Belstone now but they have been twinned with the charity Tearfund. Www.toilettwinning.org to 7 other toilets around the world. Many thanks to Helen Colley and her friends for her inspiration.
