I just wanted to say a huge thankyou to everyone who were so generous in sponsoring my sky dive. The total stands at £1090 which will support the essential work carried out by The Alzheimer's Society. I am so grateful to everyone, particularly as my original target was £500! It really was worth the hour of "adrenaline nausea' afterwards.

So good to be able to get out walking over the last couple of days. The girls are definitely not fans of rainy walks. Lovely bit of afternoon sun at Penhale Dunes yesterday and the long views from Carn Marth today.

So, I have decided to jump out of an aeroplane at Perranporth on 25th May 2024. Not because it's a quiet week here at Homeland Farm but in order to raise money for The Alzheimer's Society. Maybe I will be able to wave at Vera and Martha in the field on the way down!
This is a cause close to my heart and however much I manage to raise, I know just what a difference it will make to people who are dealing with this disease.
Roll on May 25th!
Claire

Relieved to say that it seems as if our problem with Air B&B seems to have been resolved!
Thank you to those people who have been understanding over the past two days. Bookings coming in for next year already- hopefully the summer might be a bit more reliable weather wise.

21/08/2023

Just a heads up to anyone sho might be looking to book with us.
As of yesterday, there is a technical fault with Air BnB which is showing availability in the airstreams.

We are actually FULLY BOOKED until the end of September, with only limited availability for October. Air BnB are trying to resolve the problem ASAP but we are already getting messages from people about booking when we are already full and we would hate anyone to turn up and be disappointed!

So sorry about this but out of our hands at the moment.

The barn owl is back! Our guests have seen the owl flying over the meadow over the last couple of days. Apparently the crows were less than impressed with having an owl that close to their chicks!

Some long awaited May sunshine after the thunder and lightening earlier this week. Spring has definitely arrived here - the swallows are back, Tunes in the Dunes at Perranporth and Millie loving a paddle at Holywell Bay.

So it seems as if the storm has passed at last! Some very wild weather yesterday but beautiful at Perranporth this morning for a dog walk. Lots of families enjoying the beach with the weather set fine for the rest of the holidays.
Congratulations to our guests in Poppy this week who are now engaged. Looking forward to seeing you again with some better weather.

Despite some very unfortunate weather over the last couple of weeks, our guests have managed to make the most of their stay here. Whether they have braved the elements or just chilled out in their airstreams, they have been an absolute pleasure. Thanks so much Ray for the lovely flowers- we just wish you could have had nicer weather, next time maybe.

Just back from a couple of days exploring the amazing county that I now get to call home. Fantastic February sunshine, beautiful beaches, lovely pub food and a seal for company on Porthcurno Beach. Stayed at The Old Success Inn at Sennen Cove and woke up to the sound of the sea. All within a relatively short drive from us at Homeland Farm. Came home to a stunning sunset over the paddock. Already planning my next road trip- maybe Tia the Doberman can come next time.

Some of our guests who visited over the last month will have met our stunning Great Dane foster dog, Willow. I know she totally charmed everyone who met her.
The good news is that she has found a 5* home and it looks like she will be treated like the absolute princess that she is! I can't lie, it was emotional letting her go as we had all fallen for her but also know that she will be living her best life❤️

So, the barn owl babies have fledged here at Homeland Farm. This means that the adults are keeping a much lower profile. Our guests are being treated to some amazing aerial acrobatics by the swifts and swallow at the moment. The babies from the stable are joining in! Meanwhile, just outside our kitchen window a young fox munched it's
way through the wild strawberries! What an amazing summer we are all enjoying🌞

Such stunning weather here at the moment. Our guests are making the most of sunny days and balmy evenings in the hot tub. They are enjoying twilight fly pasts from our barn owls. We have left the back paddock alone this year and the wildlife is thriving! Blue Cat keeps a close eye on the comings and goings!

We welcomed visitors to Finley and Poppy over New Year. Despite some wild weather at times, they still managed to get out and about and enjoy their hot tubs!
