Hi everyone

After another busy season, and due to the ever increasing energy costs, we have decided to close after our last booking on the 16th November and will reopen on February 17th.

But don't fear, we are taking bookings for 2023 and have kept our pricing low .

We'd like to thank all our lovely guests from this year, several of whom have already rebooked for 2023. Thank you for all your support.

So nice to be back in the cottage this week in the cornish sunshine (at least until tomorrow)...

Here with the family getting some DIY done ready for this year which is starting to look busy once again.

Good morning all,

Extremely strong W to SW winds will develop over southwest England early on Friday.

Inland gusts of 70-80mph are likely and up to around 90mph near some coasts.

Dangerous conditions are expected on beaches and seafronts so please avoid these areas.

Flying debris and uprooted trees are very possible, meaning a potential danger to life. Stay indoors unless travel is essential.

Roads, bridges and railway lines could be affected causing travel delays.

Power cuts are also possible.

Winds are expected to ease from the west during the late morning.

Please take extra care and stay safe.

With Freedom Day approaching we wanted to let our customers know and reassure everyone that we will still be keeping most of our covid precautions in place...

We would prefer if our guests were to wear masks whilst travelling around the bar to keep our staff safe, as lots of our team are yet to be fully vaccinated. 🥰

Here are some of our covid measures which we like and will be keeping...

⭐ Our staff will continue to wear masks.
⭐ Our one way system will be in place.
⭐ Table service will continue
⭐ Hand sanitising points readily available throughout
⭐ Still offering a takeaway service

🤩 We will however be welcoming the change of catering for larger groups than 6! 🤩

We thoroughly enjoy reading our guest's comments and like the fact everyone loves Jackdaw Cottage as much as we do!!!😀

Ps - Sorry about the induction hob, will add some clear instructions in the manual. But a great opportunity/excuse to sample the menus at the variety of local eateries we are lucky enough to have on our doorstep.

STARGAZING AT MIDNIGHT

A Pipeline favourite is our Stargazing at Midnight DIPA. A wonderful duo of cracking hops having a dance off on a bed of extra oats. Thick and juicy with a luscious piney twist. ⁠Available on tap or to take-away at our St Agnes brewery on Friday night.
