Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 and social distancing restrictions The Salcombe Town Regatta was cancelled this year. However, we have next year to look forward too! It is one year today until the next Salcombe Town Regatta 😍

You know how quickly time flies when you're having fun in Salcombe! It'll be here in no time, so in the mean time lets stay safe, enjoy our summer and everything that is to come!

As you all will know as of ten days ago it became mandatory for people to wear face coverings when in shops and within gatherings. So it's time we all mask up! You're protecting both yourself and others by wearing a mask, it's a no brainer.

The Winking Prawn is back!

The Winking Prawn and Island Street Bar & Grill are back, and they have shared everything you need to know to make the most of your visit this year.

First and foremost, they have expressed their thanks to everyone for their kind support over the last few months as well as their warm and thoughtful enquiries. They have been working hard behind the scenes to re-open their restaurants in order to make sure that everyone feels safe while enjoying the magic you experience in all of their restaurants. However, as you might expect, there are some changes.

Amongst them, they have extended the outside dining area and created the Pop-Up Prawn with a dedicated takeaway menu!

They have created a dedicated web page (link below) where you will find the latest information for each restaurant and how it is operating in line with the latest Covid-19 guidelines and updates. Please read it carefully and refer to it before you visit each time in case anything has been added.

More than anything, they ask that we all please be patient with them and their team. Everyone is learning and working with new systems and protocols at a time when everyone is anxious both to stay safe and do the right thing.

We look forward to welcoming back all our valued customers to the new normal on Saturday July 4th at 9am. Serving our great coffee, bacon sandwiches, “as they should be served!”, breakfasts and lunch menus.
Bookings being taken, you’ll all have to sign in on arrival, no bookings larger than 6 and you’ll have to abide government guidelines.

With just three days to go until we welcome you back, we wanted to share our updated opening times and menu. We’ll be open from 12pm on Saturday 4th July, serving food between 12pm-2.30pm and 5.30pm – 9pm.

We’ve simplified our menu for now, to help ensure the safety of our teams due to having fewer people in the kitchen. It will also help us deliver a speedy service.
