Did you know that Whitby has an access lift down to the beach? You can find the entrance opposite the lido on the west cliff and by the Whitby surf school down on the sea wall.
It's been so helpful while I'm heavily pregnant in this heat 😓

Fancy a something a bit different next time you're here, try Whitby surf school! We did paddle boarding up the river Esk a couple of years ago and can't wait to go again! Wet suits were included along with a patient instructor 😃 🏄

Views around every corner 😍
Everyone could use a break right now from this crazy new world 🌍. We're still taking and fulfilling bookings.

We have taken extra precautions such as leaving 3 days inbetween bookings to reduce risk of transmission and we're completing deep cleans in between every stay. If you have any questions about the other measures we've put in place please reach out 👍

Promenade strolls by the beach huts, this is a 5 minute walk from your front door ♥️ You can follow this path for quite a while (great for prams!), until it drops down onto the beach and you can keep going all the way to Sandsend

The best beach in Britain 2020 as voted by . Stunning views and perfect for fossil and jet hunting. This is a 17 minute drive from the cottage! So much to see on your doorstep.

Take a boat trip and go whale watching 🐳 Minke whales are spotted regularly but if you're lucky you may see Fin, Sei or Humpback whales 😍

A flight tasting is a great way to taste their craft beers and ciders. If that's not your thing they have plenty of gin to choose from!

Great picture of Whitby harbour and the lobster pots!

If you love fresh fish Whitby is definitely the place for you, if you want to eat out try the or eating in the restaurant at the or (chef James Martin's fave - we've seen him in there a couple of times!).
If you want to cook your own in the cottage there are a couple of fishmongers in Whitby including Sandygate Seafoods.

The freshly painted wet room is ready to go 💦! We don't have a bath at Spring Bank cottage but this modern wet room definitely makes up for it 🚿

Moon and Sixpence is a great spot to people watch and enjoy the harbour views! Also they do some great loaded fries and lobster & crayfish tacos!

One of fav places is Clara's coffee hut on top of the west cliff, great coffee and some tasty hot choc!!
We grab a coffee and walk down to the promenade by the beach huts to let the dogs on the beach ❤️

Look how close we are to Botham's ❤️ fresh bread, cakes, cheese and all sorts of goodies all day long 🤤 Don't forget their cafe upstair which does a great breakfast and afternoon tea!!
