Too long that I couldn’t remember when did it start occupying a tiny space in my heart… A dream that I passed on to my son… A dream that I started to doubt if it could comes true one day… I am still dreaming and “action” when my son and I have a chance. I have been dreaming that a dragonfly will land on my finger tip one day and told Mitchell that as long as we love living creatures with our heart
, respect life and have patient, one of them will land on our fingertip one day. It is unusual for people in Hong Kong to see such beautiful insect however chances are always here if we visit a pond at the right time and whenever we see them we always try to approach them quietly and patient with a hope… for so many time the little boy asked…”mom is dragonfly really will land on our fingertip one day?” I always say yes son and even though not we keep trying and trying because we never know when could we meet one that is not afraid of us and feel our eagerness to have it land on our fingertip…until one day... we saw a bamboo dragonfly that could place on our fingertip … my son was the first one spotted it amongst the mess on the shelf in a shop… he was the one to tell me “mom, this dragonfly will kiss us…” I bought two, one for my little boy and one for my beloved sister and told my boy that Aunt Pat needs one because she is not happy right now…combating…and I am going to tell her our dragonfly story…our dream because I want to let her know dreams could come true if we persist…
So…….. dragonfly means love, patient, persist and faith to me and my son and I hope everyone life is filled with such.
