Zageb's birthday
May 31st

Day of our city, marking now amounts to 926 years of the city’s known existence.

Today, we celebrate together with the famous historical "cravate unit".

Btw, there was a town here before 1094, but the first known written records of a town called Zagreb date from that year, and are a part of documents depicting the formation of a new archdiocese in the area.

The date (May 31st) we took for celebrating our city is not, however, the same date those documents were written. Actually this date is a memory on a great fire of 1731 that devastated most of the city, but also, one miracle happen then...
