Well if you are interested in a trip to the Gambia from Ireland you fly to either UK or Barcelona .... Then you can pick up a connecting flight from the UK with Thomas Cooke or The Gambian Experience
or from Barcelona the connecting flight is with Vueling Airlines
there are other airlines to fly to The Gambia but depends on your route you take .....and not very expensive either we have often only paid around €500.00 return , but normally you would pay between

Brufut Woods is in walking distance from the villa
You have all shops, supermarkets, resturants and bars 5 mins drive away
There are beautiful hotels in Sanagambia (15 mins drive ) and the Sanagambia Hotel feeds the Vulturs every morning at 11.00am
( an experience not to be missed )
There is also a maid service available for a fee

There is lots to do in this area, you have the swimming pool in the compound (7 other houses in the compound)
Five mins walk you have football grounds
the beach is not far, it is just off the grounds of the Sheraton Hotel.
Then Sanagambia is a real tourist area pubs and plenty of clubs
also there is a market there that sell wooden figures fruits and jewellery and fancy t-shirts and dresses
And don't forget feeding time for the Vultures at the Sanagambia
Hotel every morning at 11.00am (very interesting)
You can also book Safari Trips with our Tour Guide or how about a trip to where it all began for KUNTA KINTE to his village and a trip to where the slaves were all put out on an island before being shipped to America, and the trip to the KUNTA KINTE museum is very interesting especially if you had seen ALEX HAYLEY'S
ROOTS on TV .........Best trip i was ever on
Then why not settle down to a lovely meal in CHOSAAN RESTURANT only 5 mins drive from the house .......very friendly staff and the food is beautiful you will be well looked after there and their ice cold beers go down a treat
as well as that there is a live band on every night and also a pool table and the locals and management will make you feel more than welcome
